Hailey's POV:

I was sitting on Justin's couch again. "How did your day went?" he asked and turned the tv off. "Good" I said and wished that he wouldn't continue talking about that topic. School was last thing I wanted to talk about.

"How your math studies go?" he continued even I tried show him that I couldn't care less. "Good" I sighed and grabbed my phone from my pocket, and started scroll down my Instagram. "You aren't seemly interested about talking?" he mumbled.

Yeah, good point, I thought but didn't say anything. He had noticed it already. He just nodded few times before he grabbed his own phone from the table in front of us.

"Okay, let's be quiet then" he mumbled and started do something, probably watch weird videos like he always did. However soon a little notication box appered on the corner of my screen:

You have 1 new message

Justin: "Is this better way to communicate with you?"

I looked him asking and tried hold my laugh. "What the hell, Justin?" I asked and he laughed and wrote a new message for me.

Justin: "Nothing special, or well I have a one question for you"

I wait him to continue, and soon he opened his mouth and laid his question on the table.

"I'd like to take you out for a dinner" he told and moved his hand over my left thigh. I raised my gaze on his level, and just stared at him a moment

"Aren't we moving a bit too fast? I mean.. can we even call this anything serious?" I asked and thoughts started get mess in my head. This all came so fast that I didn't know what to think. "I don't know.. I.. yes.. but I .. no"

I could see that disappointment and some kind if sadness on his face when his brain registered my words which didn't really give him any answer.

"Yeah, you're right actually. How stupid I was" he scratched back of his neck before he stood up from the couch. He was sad I could tell but I didn't know how to praise him.

I mean he hasn't made that move toward the point where he would have asked me to start something more serious with him. We had just hang out and... fucked so far. Nothing more or less. We were like a friend with benefits, or whatever people call people like us.

I felt sad too now because I had made him feel so, even it wasn't my problem, or the problem was maybe too strong word, if he thought us something bigger. I didn't have anything against that idea so far he would do that move.

"I will think about that, okay? That sounds good but I don't know yet. I mean, I have to... I will call you later" I started mess with my words again. Why he always get me in this point, all mess and confused about my feelings toward him.

Sometimes it felt like I wanted something bigger with him but on other day, I wanted just stay on that friend level, since being just neighbor wasn't possible anymore.

"Okay, I'll wait" he smiled. "Will you go to home now or will you ..." he moved closer that light smirk on his face. "I have to go home, sorry. I promised to clean the house. I owe it to mom since I have been a bit.. wild" I chuckled in the end.

"I can agree with your mom" he said. I acted shocked how he dared to think same way as my mom but to be honest, I knew that he meant that a little different way.

"But I should let you go clean now. Text me when you know your answer to that thing which I asked you" he reminded me. I promised.
