Hailey's POV:
"Charlotte" I quietly called her when I saw her sitting back of the class and doing her math homeworks. She raised her gaze but looked back down when she realized that it was me. "C'mon, Charlotte" I groaned and sat on her desk. "Get off, I need to finish my homework" she hissed and pushed my chest.
"You're not like that" I mumbled and jumped off her desk before she would get more mad over me. She looked me frustrated. "Well maybe I'm not anymore the same person who you knew" she mumbled and closed her book when her new neighbor sat next to her. "Hailey, class will start soon so if you could.." Charlotte mumbled and nodded over my own place in front of the class.
I gave her that 'you can't run away from this situation' look. She just looked me without feelings. "Meet me after class" I sent her a message before our teacher walked in. Minute later I got a message back from her:
"Okay, if it will give you peace and you'll leave me alone after that" Not the best answer but at least she answered. I was happy of that because we haven't changed any word for days.
The class went quickly and bell rang. It was time for lunch. I packed quickly my things in my backpack and ran to the door so Charlotte wouldn't sneak out.
My thoughts about that were right. She tried hide behind her 'friend's' back but I got a grab of her shoulder. "Did you maybe forget something?" I asked smiling. She just groaned and told the girl that she would come soon.
"Please, be quickly" she mumbled and checked the clock to her phone. "I will, but you need to focus then" I said and nodded her put her phone away. "Always acting like a some kind of boss" she rolled her eyes but slipped her phone in her pocket.
"Okay, start" I took a deep breath and looked her. "I'm sorry of that how I acted earlier" Those words felt so wrong because deep down I didn't know why I should apologize of that. She raised her eyebrows and waited me to continue.
"Of course I was, and still am proud of that I got a chance to meet Shawn. I just didn't want it make it so big number when Ashley was around. You know that we don't get along with each others so well"
She nodded but I continued still. "Plus I told her earlier when I saw her at the mall that I wasn't going to Shawn's concert. That's why I acted like I did" She nodded again and I was almost able to see a light smile on her face but then it disappered as quick as it came.
"Okay, I forgive you" she said and threw her backpack over her shoulder. "We should go to eat now" I nodded back and followed her. We took food on our plates and Charlotte went sat next to her friend.
I was already ready to head on that corner table where I had sat these last days, before Charlotte called me to come sit with them. I walked slowly there and sat other side of the table. We didn't say anything but I felt happy still.
Our friendship will recover. It might get knocks, little and bigger ones, but it ever break. Nothing could break it, it was unbreakable.
