Hailey's POV:
I tapped my pencil against the table while I was waiting for the last bell ring. Charlotte, who was sitting next to me like always, giggled and asked what was wrong but I just shook my head and said that it was nothing.
"Can I come over tonight? Dad will be at work whole night and it's kinda boring stay at home alone" she asked and I was already accepting her request but then I remember my plans. ".. I mean no, not tonight. I need to study math so I can pass i at least" I mumbled.
"But I can help you, you know that I'm pretty good on that right now" she told and started pack her backpack already. "I have already a teacher coming sorry" words slipped out of my mouth and I cursed myself when she looked me asking who. "Just one of mom's friends" I lied and thankfully the bell ranf just when she was about to ask something again.
"Well.. okay, see you on Monday I guess" she mumbled with a bit sad tone and I'd have just wanted run over her and tell her that it was okay if she comes but I had to study and it would have been too awkward if Charlotte would know that "mom's friend" was really him. She would tease it for years.
"Ooh, well well Hailey. I'd have ever thought you would fell in love with you neighbor. How is he if you know what I mean?" I was able to hear her possible words inside my head. Yeah, she would tease it till the end of our days.
The bell rang and I pushed my books quickly in my backpack. I didn't even noticed that I had almost ran out of the class before I noticed some of my classmates' weird gazes over me but I didn't give a shit about them. I was busy.
I took my bike and drove back home. Mom was again in the work so I couldn't drive to school with our car like I had done a few times this week. I hate it how everyone else had already own car beside me but I guess I shouldn't start complain about it because I totally knew how things were.
Maybe one day I'd have enough money mysrlf to get one, I thought myself and stopped in front of the pedestrian crossing to wait my turn to cross the street.
I jumped off on my bike and walk with it in our garage and left it there. I grabbed the keys from my pocket and walked to our front door to open it. House was silent since there was no one. I closed the door behind me and heated to the kitchen. There was a blue note on the fridge door:
"There's meatballs and spaghetti in the fridge. Eat them when you get hungry. It might take late before I get back home - Mom"
I opened the fridge and took my plste out there. I warmed my food in the microwave oven and after that I sat on the table. I started eat while I was same time checking my messages. There was few from our class chat and then one from Charlotte who was still begging to come over.
I felt bad but I just couldn't give her that promise. It would be a total disaster. I closed my phone and finished my food before I brought my plate on the sink and rinsed it with cool water.
I cleaned my wet hands to towel before I walked in my room and started do my homework which were just from geology and psychology.
-
It was exactly 5PM when I heard that familiar three knocks against our door and I ran to open it. "Good evening, Hailey" he smiled and I let him in. "Hi" I just mumbled and handed him a hanger where he could put his jacket.
"Your mom isn't at home?" he asked looking around the house. "Nope, she's at work" I told and we walked to my room. "Sit wherever you want" I told and went to put my geology books back to my backpack.
He sat edge of my bed and opened his big folder. "So how can I help you today, Ms. Dean?" he asked and looked me. "With derivative and functions" I said and sat next to him. He opened the page where was some notes of those topics and he started teach. "So first you have to..."
-
First hour passed and another ones followed since it was already close 8PM. "I think that it's enough" I giggled and closed my book. "Yeah, I think so too" Justin chuckled back and nodded over all those notes which I had made.
I blushed lightly and told him to shut up. He raised his hands up and said sorry before he took his folder and started walk to the hallway. I followed him and leaned against the door frame while I was following how he put his jacket on.
"I forgot say thanks" I said shyly to him and got that heart warming smile back from him. "No problem, it's my pleasure. You can call me anytime you want if you need help. I mean help with anything, not just with math. Like car drive to school or your hobbies.. anything" he said.
Third POV:
"Thanks" she smiled and handed his folder for him on the table. He took it in his hands and smiled one last time before he opened the front door.
However quick he turned around still and asked: "I was just wondering still, would you be interested to go see Shawn on this weekend or not? I mean like if you don't, I have to try sell those tickets to someone then" Hailey's heart took an extra beat just by that he said out Shawn's name.
"You really have those tickets?" Hailey shuttered complete suprised because when he first time had asked for that, that request of his had got pretty bad welcome wishes for her. Justin just nodded and Hailey's eyes widened.
"Which tickets? Are they in good seats?" she asked excited and it made Justin chuckle a bit. "They are in front row" he told and he noticed how Hailey has to take some more support of the wall. "To fron-front r-row? B-but how? Like everyone said that.." she shuttered and it felt like she would have been ready to have a heart attack.
Justin chuckled one more time. "I have my ways but are you coming or not?" Hailey nodded quickly: "Oh my god, yes yes yes.." She didn't even noticed that she had ran over Justin and was now hugging him. "You're the best" she whispered and didn't care that her arms were still around her neighbor so did Justin.
He just smiled and felt good of that he has made Hailey happy once again. "So I think that we'll see on Sunday then" he said and looked Hailey. "Yeah, come pick me up on 6PM. I want be the first who gets in there" she giggled. "Sure thing, Hails. See you tomorrow" he said before he left
Hailey felt like she would have been in cloud nine. She might not get sleep on next night.
