Hailey's POV:
"Has there happened something, Hails?" I heard someone yelling at me and I couldn't guess wrong who it was. There was only one person who called me with that nickname, Justin. "What?" I asked even I had heard his question really clearly. "You look sad, has there happened something? Has your boyfriend left you or something?"
It made me chuckle a bit. "I wish that I would have even a one but no. It's nothing, I'm fine" I mumbled and I was ready to leave already but Justin stopped me. "No, now you'll come tell. I have made some berry smoothie" he offered. I looked back to home.
There was no one at home and his offer really interested me because of that. I didn't liked be alone. I thought a while before I nodded.
"Okay but I do that just because I don't want to be alone at home you know. Mom is in evening shift again" I told him and made his clear that I had a reason to my action. He just nodded and we walked inside his house.
"So now tell me what's wrong?" he asked when he put a big glass of light pink smoothie in front of me. Somehow I felt like a little kid now. I remember how my dad had made me a berry smoothie always when I was younger and well when my parents were still happy and together. "You sound like my mom" I commented before tasted his drink. It was good.
He chuckled and sat down on the chair other side of the table. "I didn't want to sound like that but seriously, everything is not fine. I have known you just a few months but I can still tell from your face that something bother you" he said and looked me deep in my eyes.
I felt shivers and turned my head away. I couldn't let him look at me like that because it had started give me weird feelings about him. It started after that concert night and I couldn't stop it even I had told myself that it was wrong but my brains didn't think same.
"We have had just a little fight with Charlotte" I finally told him before I put my half empty smoothie glass on his table. "Nothing big, she just got a bit pissed since I didn't want talk about that concert with her in the class when there was some people who I didn't want to hear about it" So now he knew, was it enough to him? Of course not.
"She got mad at you because of that?" he looked suprised. "Okay, I don't understand you girls sometimes how easily you can get mad. I mean that's..-" "Me either to be honest" I cut him off. "But she'll probably come back soon. I'm sure about that" I tried smile weakly.
"Let's hope so" he said back. His comment felt so unnecessary like it was just one of those 'filler' phrases which stop moment getting too awkward between two people.
After that we went quiet and I finished my smoothie. "Thank you, Justin" I said and stood up the table and looked the watch on my wrist, 4:57pm. "I should go to home now" I told him and grabbed my backpack on the corner of his kitchen where I had left it.
"But you told that there's no one at home, right? Isn't it- isn't it a bit awful go there and you know, be alone?" he asked but didn't look at me. "Well yeah but maybe it's better go there than disturb you here" I chuckled and put my shoes on.
"I have to do my homework still and I think that you must be something to do too" I continued. "Actually no" he laughed out and made me raise my eyebrows. "Really?" He shook his head and looking at me. "I think that we both would benefit from it. I mean you would get some help to your tricky homework and I.." he stopped suddenly and turned his head away again
"You what?" I walked other side of him and looked him. "I would get a chance to enjoy your good company" he said quietly. "Oh, is that so?" I giggled and kicked one of my shoes off. "Do you have better ideas then, Ms. Dean?" he winked and made me somehow blush a bit. "No.." I mumbled and kicked my other shoe off too.
"Okay, deal. First you could help me with these chemitry homework. I don't know anything about these hydrolysis and electrolysis shits" I sighed and pulled my chemitry books out of my backpack.
