Chapter 4

~Emma's P.O.V.~

" Hey babe. I went to your house today and your mom said you weren't home. Where are you?"  The text read, from my boyfriend Zack. " I'm going on a little vacation. So don't worry about me." I replied back. I couldn't believe that I lied to my boyfriend. He would hate me if he found out that I lied to him and that I was with the band. After putting the phone in my pocket, I went back downstairs and walked into the kitchen. I made some tea and walked into the living room. I looked at the boys all on one couch with their faces dug into their electronics.

I found an empty couch and sat there, drinking my warm tea. They all looked up at me then back to their electronics. I walked over to them and stood in front of them until they noticed me. Zayn was the fist one to look up. "Yes?" He said. "Well you guys wanted me down here so i'm here." I said taking another sip of my tea. "Well first off I am the only one that can sass in this house and second off we are going shopping!" Louis said getting up and pulling me to the door.

Louis took his keys off the desk near the door and took my shoes. He picked me up and put me over his shoulder. "Louis! Let me down!" I said squirming a bit. "Ok." He said putting me in the passenger seat of the car and giving me my shoes. I put my shoes on and Louis got into the driver's side. He started driving off and turned the radio on.

We arrived at the mall and we headed for some popular stores. Louis made me try on half of the clothes in one store and made me do a little fashion show for him. Five bags of clothes later, we headed for the food court and ate. He did a little more shopping, then headed back out to the car. Once we put the bags in the car, we headed to an arcade and started to play dance dance reveloution.

~Liam's P.O.V.~

Once Emma left with Louis, I headed up to her room. I opened the door and walked straight for the drawer next to her bed. I sat on the bed and opened it up to see pictures. I looked through all of them and noticed it was her when she was younger. But I also noticed a boy in the pictures that looked a lot like Harry. "Did this mean that they used to know each other and were friends" I thought to myself. I looked up to see Emma standing in the doorway.

~Emma's P.O.V.~

Louis and I bought some snacks from the arcade for the ride home. We got home and I took my bags up to my room. I froze when I saw that my door has been opened. I set my bags down near it and looked inside my room. Liam was sitting there looking at the pictures. "What are these?" Liam said holding the pictures up. I walked in and fell to my knees crying.

I covered my now wet face with my hands. Liam got up and kneeled down next to me. He put one hand on my back and used his other hand to lift my head up. He took his thumbs and wiped the tears off my face. "What's wrong love?" Liam said in a soft voice. "The people in the picture are Harry and I when we were young. Me and him used to be neighbors and best friends. We hung out everyday until the X-factor came along. I went with him to his audition. I wanted him to live his dream but I knew that if we got all three yes's then I would lose him. I didn't want to lose him. I guess you could say that I had a crush on him." I said then describing to him about everything that happened backstage and about the necklace. "So once he got to bootcamp, he totally forgot about me. Never talked to me since then. My parents found a new job in america so we had to move there. Then you know the rest from there." I said calming down bit.

"Wait a second." Liam said getting up and walking out of the door. He came back with a box. Once he opened it, I saw the same exact necklace that I gave Harry on the day of X-factor. "Is this the necklace that you are talking about?" Liam said giving me the box. I just nodded my head and inspected it. "How did you know where to find this? "He wears it all the time and always keeps it on the dresser." Liam explained. "You guys ok up there?" Harry said walking upstairs. I jumped up and hide the pictures while Liam hide the necklace in his pocket.

~Liam's P.O.V.~

I was shocked when Emma started to cry. I went down next to her and comforted her. After hearing her story, I got up and sneaked into Harry's room. Once I found the box with the necklace in it, I brought it back for Emma to see. It was a perfect match. I couldn't believe they knew each other like that. Once we heard Harry, we hide all the evidence and sat back down on the floor.

Harry then stood in the doorway of Emma's room. "We are fine. Just talking." Emma said with a smile that I knew was fake. "Ok then." Harry said turning around and walking back downstairs. I looked back at Emma when I knew that Harry was gone. "So why don't you tell him everything and ask him out?" I said. "I'm scared that he won't reemember me and I kind of have a boyfriend back in America that I totally forgot about." She said. "Oh." was all I could say.
