Day 11 – I need a credit card
I dreamed of getting an order from my online store. It was an $85 order. And I was like, wait, how do I make an $85 order when I've just used my fund on advertising? I don't have a credit card.
See, Shopify pays you after three days (or something). So, even if your customer paid you, you can't use the money until after that period. So you have to use your own fund to make that order and make sure it reaches your customer so they won't be asking for a refund. Huh.
I have a thing against credit cards. I just hate debts. In general. When I know I'll be short on funds, I use a tight budget. Anyway, it doesn't happen anymore since I've been good at budgeting my own fund ever since I got my own source of income.
I started early. Even when I'm living with my parents in high school, I asked them for a monthly allowance, not daily. And it's up to me how to use it, budget it. It was good and fun. I think it started on my sophomore year. I have a thing for numbers. Seriously, I just can't seem to save anything on a daily allowance. I spend them all. But when I had it monthly, I got a seriously different perspective. That went on up to college. It was good fun. I have to hate myself when I buy something I don't freaking need and remind myself over and over to never do that again. It worked. Like magic.
So yeah, currently I'm working on my application for a credit card. Good life.
