Chapter 9

Stephens P.O.V

I'm done!

The one girl I genuinely fall for has no interest in me. I thought after she ended things with Corey that i'd have a chance but I take it I was wrong. I also thought new years would be an amazing night for the two of us but so far its not really going as planned.

Instead of dancing and messing around with Lauren and possibly being her midnight kiss. I'm sitting at the bar with three hot stupid girls casually gazing over at Lauren having the time of her life with her ex. Yep he conveniently flies over, really picks his moments.

I'm over chasing Lauren, I still love her though I guess we can just be friends...

Tonight was mean to be the night I told her how much I liked her but that went sour.

''So Stephen, Who's going to be you're midnight kiss?'' A blond tanned skinny girl who's name I can't even remember asked

''Eh dunno'' I responded uninterested

She giggled annoyingly and smiled and me creepily.

''Make up you're mind quick Stephen'' She giggled again

I looked at my watched just as I heard everyone chanting ''8,7 ,6...''

Already?

I looked over to see Lauren wrapped around Luke and the second the countdown reached 1 they were kissing the face off each other while the annoying blond wrapped her arms around me in an attempt to kiss me. I lifted her arms off and made my way to the exit. I couldn't watch Lauren with someone else, it hurt way too much.

I never felt like this before. I remember friends telling and crying to me about how heartbroken they were numerous times but I thought nothing of it. I just assumed they were exaggerating.

I sat outside in the smoking area. All as I could hear was the faint noise of Professor Green playing inside and the cheers of everyone wishing each other a Happy new year.

''You okay?''

I looked up slowly to see my ex girlfriend Kendall standing infront of me. We hadn't talked in months because I treated her so badly when we were together. I don't know why though, shes stunning, has an amazing body and has a great personality and was probably one of the funniest girls I had ever met.

It was about two years ago so I was a little immature. I was surprised she was talking to me.

''Not really'' I muttered

She took a seat beside me.

''Wana tell me whats wrong, or?''

''Why are you even talking to me? Sorry that sounds bad I mean like I was so horrible to you'' I said guiltily

She flicked back a piece of her long brown curled hair and looked up at me.

''Look Stephen, I know how you treated me was..well horrible, but I don't want to see you suffer, and by the looks of it you're really upset? Tell me?'' She said

''I'm sorry though Kendall, I know it was a long time ago but I mean it.''

''Its fine its in the past, I just want to know are you okay?'' She took my hand

''Finally really really liked a girl for the first time''

''Well...thats good Stephen''

''Thats not it...Shes up stairs with her ex, I thought tonight was the night we would get together but I take it she didn't'' I said looking down at the ground

''Ouch, I'm sorry''

I nodded at Kendall. What was she supposed to say in a situation like that?

''Come inside? Its new years don't spend it alone'' She sounded as though she felt sorry for me

''I'm good Kens i'll just stay here''

''Come on'' She said taking me by the hand and literally dragging me inside

We took a seat at a booth close by the bar

''Cheer up Stephen you can't enter a new year depressed''

''Watch me'' I said while taking a huge gulp of my beer

''I hate to see you like this Stephen, why don't you just go back to you're 'womaniser' days?'' She asked seriously

I smirked

''Womaniser days?'' I laughed

''Yes , well whatever don't laugh at me she said pushing me playfully

Being with Kendall certainly cheered me up. It made me regret how badly I treated her when we were together. I used to be so heartless, since meeting Lauren I feel different, I know that sounds weird but its true. Kendall looked so hot in her sequence purple dress tonight.

''Look sorry for bringing it up again but really Kendall, I'm starting to feel more and more guilt about how badly I treated you when we were together, I was never there fo you at all''

''Well you can make up for it now'' She joked

''You know, I have changed''

''I'll believe it when I see it'' She added

''So, who was you're new years kiss?'' I asked Kendall

''Well it would have been Jamie Mann if he wasn't too busy passing out.'' She looked hurt although she tried to laugh it off

''Oh...are you's together?''

''No!'' She smiled at me cheekily

''Pity we weren't together 22 minutes ago'' I grinned at Kendall

''We can relive the moment now'' She winked

I smiled at her as she leaned her face closely towards mine and whispered

''3, 2 ,1...''

We kissed and it felt weird. I felt deja vu! Kendall was always gorgeous, possibly the most gorgeous girl I knew till I met Lauren. Kendall was in love with me when we were going out, everyone knew it. I just didn't give her the attention she deserved.

We we stopped she kept her hand on my face and smiled giddily. I turned around to see Lauren and Luke behind me. Lauren stared and looked confused for a second but then proceeded to cling onto Luke.
