Chapter 4

I woke up to a pounding headache and a silent house for once. I coulnd'nt believe I had school today. I quickly got dressed and hopped into the car with Gill and Leah.

''So Lauren, good night last night'' Leah winked at me

''Eh yeah was alright'' I responded unamused

''Heard about you and Stephen Miller''

''How do you know Stephen Miller'' I asked

''Everyone knows him , apparently hes the 'popular guy everyone knows, so...yous hooked up?'' Leah said jokingly

''No! Me and Stephen are friends''

''I heard yous were like glue last night, coldn't keep your eyes off each other...or hands'' She laughed

''It wasn't like that, I was sitting on his lap but were we joking around as friends''

''Well good luck explaining that to the school'' Leah looked smug

''What do you mean?''

''News spreads like wildfire around here apparently'' Gill joined in

''Haha okay whatever'' I laughed unenthusiastically

We pulled up outside the school and I straightaway noticed Stephen with 4 girls around him. I laughed to myself and rolled my eyes jokingly at Him.As soon as he noticed me he came swiftly over.

''Hey Lauren'' Stephen said nervously

''Hey Stephen..you alright?''

''Yeah i'm fine its just you know...rumours'' He looked away from me

''What rumours?''

''Everyone thinks were together ..as in a couple''

''Hahaha! no way'' I responded while we walked inside the school

''NICE ONE MILLER'' a tall black hair guy shouted and hi-fived Stephen.

''This is what I meant'' Stephen looked at me slightly embarassed. I just laughed it off.

''That your girlfriend Stephen?'' A skinny blonde asked

Stephen shook his head and walked on. I couldn't believe it, I felt like I was in playschool again. Why was everyone so interested in Stephens love life?

''I'm going to go meet me after school'' Stephen smiled and quickly walked the opposite direction.

I carried on down the corridor with staring faces everywhere. Girls eyeng me with the look of jelousy in their eyes and boys grinning at me.

''Stephen Millers new girl!'' A tall olive skinned medium brown haired guy said into my face

''Eh no, were friends'' I said blushing slightly, he was gorgeous just as gorgeous as Stephen

''Oh'' He grinned

''Yep'' I smiled slightly and began to walk on

He began walking beside me swiftly trying to keep up

''I guess thats a good thing'' He said looking at me

''How?'' I questioned

''Well...lucky for me'' A big smiled cracked accros his face

''What do you mean?'' I said childishly

''Because..youre gorgeous..now i have a slight bit more of a chance of asking you out''

I giggled and looked down at the ground

''Lauren ..right?'' We both stopped on the spot

''Yeah'' I smiled foolishly
