(Heyy, so I need a nickname of you guys. In my xmen and tmnt fanfics, I called my readers mutants.... hmmmm, i'll figure something out)

THE NEXT DAY

I woke up to the sound of cars honking, i growled at the noise as i was having a nice sleep before. I rolled on to my back as i looked up to the roof, which was slowly coming apart, the place in general was coming down. I curled into my sleeping bag, enjoying the heat before i have to get up.

My mind slowly starts to turn to yesterday, when I saved that woman, fair mind i didn't get any food because of that, but I can't help but smile when I remembered her yelling 'thank you', to me! That was the first time I saved someone and It felt good, I felt great after it, just to help someone who need it. when I didn't take her purse, I felt a small weight of my shoulders.

I wanted to do it again but how would I? its not like I'm always around when some asshole steals a bag. It's also not something you start doing, is it? if I was to do it, I'd need to be careful, I've seen good guys step into something they could handle, and pay miserably

So it was settled in my mind, I decided after a few days to get some clothes that would be best for not only hiding my face, but best so run around being a hero in. i found a hoodie that someone threw away, it was green but that's all I could get without having to properly steal anything, also black leggings but I also got a mask to cover my bottom half of my face, my op half would be morphed, since that seems to strike fear in people.

 After I had my full look together, I then found myself a cool place to stay for a few nights, one that wouldn't crash me in the night. It was an old garage that had be abandoned ages ago, smells awful, it wasnt much but it had a desk and lots of space to move around, its safe too. It was hard to get things to make it feel home like, but maybe after a few months, it'll be something.

Now I still had to steal food, but I wore my normal clothes for that. I know I'm not a real hero but it's all I could do for now, I take a little, but i give back with my help, in a way it balances a little.

TIME SKIP

Now it was night, I decided to get higher ground, wondering around the roof tops, looking for anyone who needed help. I'm surprised that I haven't come across anything, usually there's trouble at every corner of Gotham, at that moment I heard something in the parking lot across from me "Here we go" I quickly made my way over.

Jumping over to the other side, grabbing on to the building and puling myself up, i stayed in the shadows, sneaking into the parking lot.

I hid behind some cars before peeking under the car, seeing how many people there were and where they were. once i had a lock on each, i crawled around to the side looking around slowly, my eyes widened.

It was batman, Nightwing and robin, they were fighting of some gang that were probably making a deal.

I quickly ducked back around before any of them spotted me "oh my god, what do I do?" I whispered to myself, my first night and i run into these guys, can this get any more insane. Right here the plan, they have everything sorted, I'll just leave and go stop someone from stealing a car or something.  I started to move away but i suddenly wanted to have another peek, just once before i go.

i poke back out as i watch them kick some serious ass, i smiled as i watched, batman was winning, taking them out, one after the other. my eyes looked at the all but suddenly i heard a boys voice "AH, get off me!" my eyes looked around, finally landing on the boy, i knew it! it was robin who called out.

I looked back to the others to see that batman and nightwing were trying to fight off some guys with big guns, clearly too caught up to help robin out. I didn't know what to do, like these guys were hero's, they can handle this small gang. i didn't need to help robin out, he had this handled, i was confident in that thought, till I saw him being pinned against the wall by two guys, one of them trying to pull out his gun from the holder, they were gonna shoot robin, they were going to kill him.

My heart started to pound at the sight of him but then "we'll teach you bats, not to mess with us" my eyes widened as the guy lifted his hand with the gun, ready to shoot robin "NOOOO!" I screamed before jumping over the car and pushing the first guy, and swiping my leg under the others, taking them out. i stood infront of robin, protecting him as he collected himself from having a gun pointed at him "leave them alone" I growled, the guys on the ground looked up to me, they were angry, clearly. They were ready to put me down like they were going to do to robin, but then they're eyes filled with fear, the moment they seen my face, terrifying "what the hell is that!.. fuck this" they got up and ran, one look was all it took.

i looked down seeing my reflection in the pool of rain water under me, my eyes were glowing, my ears slightly point, along with my bone structure, monster.

I gasped when I felt and hand on my shoulder "Hey thanks for the help-" I smacked robins hand off my shoulder, i cant have heros seeing me, that will be a real blow to me if they see my face "DON'T TOUCH ME!" I screamed, turning away so he didn't see, I ran off the other way from batman and Nightwing, trying to get distance in-between us before they try to follow. i need to get out of any public eye "WAIT!" I heard someone else shout but I was already out of there, leaping to lower building and running till my lungs burned.

i stopped in an alley way, taking that spot as a breather. i was shaking with how much running i just did, taking off my hoodie to try and cool down, till something hut me " I saved a hero" i said to myself, thinking saying it out loud would make it not real. i did that? i saved one of Gotham's hero's. i saved, batman's side kick. i leaned against the wall as i thought this through, slowly a smile grew on my face, till "FUCK YES!" i cheered as i jumped around in the dark alley.
