Tali's Request

Chapter 10

Tony and Ziva both woke up with a start when their mattresses shook and moved.

"Boker tov, Abba! Ima!" Tali sang as she jumped up and down on the bed. "Wake u-up!"

Ziva groaned. "What time is it?" She asked.

"Time for... Breakfast!" Tali shouted excitedly. "Can you make beitsîm, and toot sah-de?"

"Huh?" Tony asked sleepily, looking at Ziva with a confused expression.

"Eggs and strawberries". Ziva quickly translated. "Tali speaks Hebrish" She explained. "She gets Hebrew and English mixed up pretty often".

Tony smiled. "That's ok. It's a good way for me to learn Hebrew".

Ziva smiled back.

"Ken, Tali". Tony answered. "You can have beitsîm, and..." He turned to Ziva for help.

"Toot sah-de". Ziva finished.

Ziva sang quietly in Hebrew as she cooked Tony and Tali scrambled eggs. She then cut the strawberries for Tali into bite-sized pieces.

Tony emerged into the kitchen, whistling. He was about to give Ziva a kiss goodmorning, but she placed her hands on his cheeks, and stopped him in his tracks.

"Uh-uh. You need to shave, Tony". She playfully chastised him.  

Tony smirked. "Oh, come on. It's not that bad". He then grabbed the back of Ziva's hand and ran it over his prickly stubble.

"Tony!" She exclaimed, laughing. She tried to pull her hand away, but Tony had a firm grip.

Tali laughed at her parents. "What are you doing, Abba?" She asked.

Tony grinned and walked over to Tali. He did the same to Tali as he did to Ziva. Tali shrieked and laughed.

"Yes Abba. Shave".
