A/N: This is my first request! WHOOOOOOOEEEE!!! Thanks @CJMlol for supporting me and I hope you like this. I'm working on my fluff skills, so don't judge. And read on!
"They're practically immortal." Harry said as the two of you walked beside each other in the forest. "Just imagine, we'll be gone, disappeared who knows where and these trees will still be here, just being." He sounded like he was in awe of it. You were too.
"That's why you want to be a soccer dad?" you asked. You'd overheard him talking to himself, trying to find the correct words to say to Ed so that he could leave Ghostfacers and just be a man with a normal life. You could understand his situation; Sam had gone through that, he went through that a lot, to be honest.
Sam and Dean, your older brothers were polar opposites. Sam saw a life outside of hunting and Dean only saw hunting. You weren't sure which side of the spectrum you stood on, you just knew that you were going to keep hunting for as long as you were able to. You didn't particularly love or hate the life, but it was your life. It was fated to you and with two brothers who fought about it a lot; your only choice was to be constant. You'd barely known your dad, he felt more like Sam and Dean's dad to you, but you'd understood that being spoiled wasn't meant for you. You had to do what needed to be done.
"I don't want this to be all. I want to accomplish something as well as be happy." He shrugged, not keen on getting into more detail than that.
"Let me go first." You motioned towards him to get behind you and he did with a sigh. You smirked slightly, he was a great researcher and brilliant when it came to computers, but, he couldn't fight. You crept slowly towards the wooden cottage, shotgun ready and loaded.
"Maybe I was wrong." He said after looking around with the EMF reader. There was no ghost reading outside the cottage. You chuckled inwardly; this cottage looked perfect for ghosts to chill in.
"If I was a ghost, I'd be in here." You responded as you walked up the rotting wooden steps in the front.
"Why here? "He asked, tugging at your sleeve to stop you from entering without answering.
"Because it looks creepy, there would definitely be a host of idiots coming in here for shits and giggles." You grinned at him and he chuckled. "Besides, if it's not in here, Dean said something about putting his foot where he shouldn't." You snickered as you opened the door and walked in. He followed behind alertly.
The ghost wasn't there, to your surprise. You were expecting it to come and try to kill you, but it didn't. You didn't find a body either.
Your phone rang after you'd searched the whole cottage.
"What the hell Y/N! Burn the body already! I'm about to get castrated!" Dean screamed into the phone and you would of laughed if you hadn't of been worried.
"I can't find any remains or DNA at all." You replied.
"Well, do something!" Dean's voice went high-pitched and you snorted.
"Is it actually trying to castrate you right now?" You snickered in disbelief.
"Y/N!" He shouted and you jumped.
"Right. What to do, what to do." You looked around and realised that Harry wasn't in the room with you. "Dammit!" You yelled as your heart dropped a little and you rushed outside.
"Too late." A ghoul-like creature sneered at you when you rounded the corner of the house. It had long greasy dark hair over disfigured humanoid features. It reminded you of Sméagol, just taller.
"Where is he?" You asked as you pumped the shotgun.
"Dead." The creature pointed down and you saw blood, more than he could of survived losing. Without thinking, you shot the gun and ran at it, rage blinding your judgement. The creature pounced on you and you fell, hitting the back of your head on a rock.
