Chapter 9

"What do you mean Aunt Leah lied to me?" Luke sighed."It's difficult for me to explain. Your uncle had darkness in his heart. Now once you go down the dark path, you can never return. This took time. It took lots of convincing by the emperor. Uncle Andy had gone down the dark path too far, and couldn't get back. He murdered everyone on the alliance including your parents. I know you were there at the time. If it wasn't for your sister, you wouldn't be here today."

I stood there speechless then I thought for a moment."Wait. I thought Ventra hated me?" Luke smiled."That's what she wanted you think." I was still confused. "Okay. So my uncle is the leader if the invaders and my sister actually cares for me?" Luke chuckled. "Yes everything is true."

"I still have one question though. Why did Uncle Ani try to kill me?" Luke let out a big sigh. "When my sister and I were born, he saw us as a threat. We had to be separated so that he couldn't find us. Now since everyone has died in our family except my sister, me and you, he will come after us." I still had one more question. "Doesn't that mean that he's your father." Luke's face fell. "Yes. I never had the nerve to even fight him. I just couldn't do that to him." I gave Luke a hug. "It will be all right." Luke smiled at me.

"Hey, Luke. Do you know where Drew is? I need to talk to him." Luke gave me a sad look. "Sorry Ayl. I sent Drew on a scouting mission. He won't be back till next week." Luke gave me sympathetic look. "That's alright. I'll just talk to him when he gets back." I started walking away. "Wait. Drew told me to say that. He's still mad at you." My face brighten up. "I need to apologize to him. Just tell me where he is." Luke said he was at the firing range. I about tripped the whole way there. I was so excited to see Drew.

Luke was right. Drew was at the firing range. Usually Drew hit every target, but as far as I could see he didn't hit a single one. "You know you're suppose to hit the targets." Drew turned around and rolled his eyes. "What are you doing here?" I sighed. "I'm here to apologize. I normally don't blow up in people's face. Ask anybody. I was just tired of hearing all the positive encouragement. I was sad, but I didn't need it. I'm sorry. Do you forgive me?"

Drew got up and kissed me. Drew smiled. "I forgive you. I'm sorry too. I should have gone after you and I shouldn't have stormed like that." I smiled. "It's okay. Now I want to see you hit every target out there." Drew laughed. "I will don't worry." I was so happy that we made up. Awhile later, we both a call from Luke. His voice sounded like he was freaking out.

I'm sorry this was a short chapter. I was having writers block. The book is getting to the end and I don't want to want to go too much in to the end. I also burnt all my fingers on my right hand so it was very hard to write. This might be the last chapter of December because exams are coming up and I have to study for those.
