I stood there speechless. I had to think of some way to escape. While I was thinking, I felt something cold wrap around my wrists. Handcuffs. Why couldn't they just drag me there? The receptionist downstairs saw me and gave me a sympathetic look.

The troopers dropped us off at the landing platforms. They took the handcuffs off and took the pistol away from Drew's head. As quickly as the troopers got us here, just as quickly did they leave.

"Drew! Are you all right?" Drew nodded shakily. "A little shaken up, but okay." A sigh relief flowed over me and we both embraced each other. Now comes the plan of escape.

I searched for a place where no one was watching which was stupid because everywhere there were people around. We were still in our disguises. Maybe we could get away with blending in with people. I nudged Drew and pointed at our clothes. He seemed to get the memo.

We started to walk causally and soon to a fast walk. We found a group people and stayed in the middle. I zoned out of what they were listening to. We kept glancing over to the platforms to see if they came back. They never did. Was this some kind of trap?

Soon the group moved to another place. We followed. I glanced back one more time to make sure. My eyes widened in horror. They had come back and noticed we were gone. I grabbed Drew by the arm an dragged him into an empty house. "They're onto us Drew. We have to find a hiding place." Drew nodded and ran to the top of the building. We could see the whole town from up here.

My heart was beating so fast. The troopers were fast I give them that. They already made their way to the place where we were a few seconds ago. It looked like they were asking people about us. Nobody seemed to know and the troopers moved on.

We stood there relieved. We slumped underneath the window. I looked at the window to see if anyone was coming. It felt like I was sitting there for hours waiting for someone to come. I was about to fall asleep when a black figured below. He looked straight up where we were hidden and went into the building.

I knew exactly who that was. My uncle. I shook Drew awake. "What? Is someone here." I rolled my eyes. "Yes! Now get up and come with me." Drew collected himself and followed me. Luckily I had scoped out a place to escape if necessary. It was a narrow tunnel, but it worked.

We crawled all the way till we saw sunlight. We hauled ourselves out. We were out of breath. I looked around and no one was there. It was quiet. Too quiet. Drew nudged me. "Look." I saw where he was pointing to. At the end of the road there where troopers surrounded the entire town. "Do you think we can get around them?" I shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know. They are pretty packed together." He sighed.

"Aylia. I think it's time we give up. We have been running from our fears. We have to turn ourselves in." I about slapped when he said that. "I don't want to hear that. We are going to get out of here alive. Don't worry we will figure something out."

It was getting late and we were both exhausted. "We have to find a place to spend the night. If we don't, we will freeze out here." Drew nodded. We had packed some supplies before we left just in case anything like this happened. We found an empty warehouse and settled down behind some boxes. We pulled out the blankets. The boxes we were our pillows. The next morning would be our worst nightmare.
