Chapter 14

I woke up in a bundle of blankets. I had a massive migraine. Drew was still sound asleep, and I didn't want to wake him up. I wrapped a blanket around my body and creeped toward the warehouse door to have a look outside. Geez! The troopers are still standing out there. They must be complete idiots or very devoted.

I didn't know what time it was, but judging by the sun it was possibly 7:00 in the morning. Drew started to wake up. "Good morning sleepy head. We have to get going. The troopers stayed the entire night," Drew smiled and kissed me on the cheek. "I know. Let's go before they spot us." I nodded my head and packed up everything.

The last thing we had to do was figure a way out. We could go out the south entrance, but we would probably get captured before we even made it out. We could through the vents, but they would hear us eventually. The other ways out were the east, west, and north entrances.

We sure didn't want to go out the west entrance. That was were the most guarded area was. We decided to take the east entrance. It was the way we came in, and it was the least guarded. We grabbed our things and ran out if the warehouse.

We took it slow around the troopers. Making sure not to make a sound. I was always making sure bovine was following or watching us. I was on high alert.

Drew tiptoed ahead of me which was fine, but soon he got too far ahead of me. "Drew. Get back here. You don't know what is up there. It could be a trap." I whispered in his ear. Drew chuckled. "It will be fine." He spoke too soon.

Drew walked too far and didn't see where he was going. He ran into a metal barrier. The barrier vibrated so loud that it could wake the dead. Shit! I hope they didn't hear that. Unfortunately the troopers heard everything. Their heads turned our way and noticed us.

I grabbed Drew by the arms."RUN!" Bullets were already being shot at us. I ducked this way and that. I kept turning my head to see if Drew was still running. I found a narrow path and took it with Drew right on my heels. Along with the troopers. I could shake them.

My heart was pounding like a drum, but I didn't stop. I looked over and Drew, and his face was pale white. Bullets whizzed over head. I was lucky enough to dodge them all, but Drew wasn't so lucky. I heard a scream come from the side of me. Drew was shot. He collapsed to the ground. I stopped to help him up, but he was too weak to stand.

"Just leave me here Aylia. I'll be fine on my own. You go. They aren't after me, they're after you. Please promise me you will be careful?" A tear rolled down my cheek. I smiled. "I promise." I got up and looked down at Drew for the last time. The troopers came into view. It was time for me to go.

I started running. I had no idea how long I had ran, but my legs, feet, heart, and muscles were wearing down. I had to take a break, but I had to keep going. I turned my head around, and no one was following me. That was strange. I slowed down to a walk.

Everything was quiet. I turned my head around and standing right in front of me were two Imperial troopers. I gasped in fear and ran the other only to be blocked off there. The troopers in front grabbed my wrists and dragged me. The plopped me in front on a ship. Out came a person dressed in all black. I knew exactly who that was. It was my uncle and he was coming to kill me.
