In school,
We are taught,
About the wars our countries men have fought,
In honestly there's no pride to have in the death and pain our world united has brought. We cannot,
We cannot take pride in men who have murdered kids,
For the sake of a difference in opinion.
We cannot,
We cannot look behind at our history and have said,"Great job," and have smiled,
For we shall not be a wars' minion. And again,
And again,
Battle fields take reign
Over the same
Who don't care to know if it's a child's blood that drains
Who wears uniforms and takes pride to wear bloodstains.
Who grins as blood pools gain,
Who complains that he has seen so much pain,
But doesn't mention he's a reason why children's family's cry in vain.
