**Johnnie**
I watched Kyle's car as it sped away. Once his car was completely out of sight I turned around to face my door and put Kyle's number in my pocket.
I slowly twisted the doorknob and slid inside the house. I softly closed the door behind me and headed in the direction of the stairs. As I reached the stairs the lounge room light flicked on.
"Johnnie, Where have you been" My mother was sitting on the couch.
"School" I said as she stood up.
"What is the time?"
I glanced at the clock above one of the kitchen cupboards, "9 o'clock"
"So, you're telling me you've been at school for-" She counted on her fingers, "Six hours more than you had to"
I shrugged.
"I got the message from the school, You left early with another student. Where exactly did you go?"
"The forest"
She placed her hand on her forehead. "That's it, this is the third time you've skipped school this month. You're grounded for the next 6 weeks"
I gave out a chuckle and turned back around to walk up the stairs. Its not like I have a social life I need to attend to.
As I was walking up the stairs she pulled my bag out of my hands. I watched her take my phone and laptop out of it.
"Here you go," She said as she handed back my basically empty bag.
I snatched it out of her hands and continued to walk up the stairs.
I opened the door to my room and jumped onto my bed

I lifted my head off of my pillow to the sound of my alarm going off, I must have forgotten to turn it off last night when I got back home.
I honestly don't know why my mother was so mad, so what If I was back late on a Friday night, and I only skipped the last 15 minutes of school.
I rolled over on to my stomach and tried to get back to sleep, but It was almost impossible, once I had woken up, It was unlikely I would be able to get back to sleep.
I stood up and walked to my drawers, where I changed out of my black jeans and t-shirt into something more comfortable. I walked over to my desk and began writing an essay that was due a week prior, better late than never.
'Romeo And Juliet was originally a play written by William Shakespeare...'
After I had finished writing my essay I placed it into a thin plastic slip and jumped back onto my bed. I looked at the time, It was only 10 o'clock and I had already grew bored, perhaps trying to keep myself entertained for six weeks without my computer would be more difficult that I had thought.
Then I thought of something, I had carefully put together a well-structured plan to get my laptop back in under 3 seconds.
I quietly opened my door and sneaked down the stairs. Once I had reached the bottom the stairs I made a B-line for the kitchen counter, where I knew my mother would have hidden my computer.
I searched all through the kitchen cabinets but couldn't find it anywhere.
"Looking for this" she said as she held up my computer and phone, "you didn't think I would leave them lying around, Get back to your room, you're grounded remember.
I slowly walked back up my stairs and flopped onto my bed. I put my hand into my pockets and got another idea.
I pulled the slip of paper containing Kyle's number out of my pocket and searched through all of the drawers in my room for an old phone I may have kept. I found an old flip phone with remaining credit on it from several years ago.
A small grin grew on my face as I placed his number into the phone and sent him a text
'come pick me up -Johnnie'
