The sun is glowing,
The air is cold.
A soft breeze brushes against my face.
Jeans, boots, shirt and hat.
Morning air is stagnant before waking the storm.
"C'mon! Follow up!"
Hooves, feet and paws race sleepily towards me.
Oats for the cow;
Pellets for the rabbits, goats and sheep;
Grain for the pig, chooks, ducks, goose and turkey;
Seed for the parrots;
Pasta and biscuts for the dog.
Clean out the hay,
Lay fresh stuff in -
Try not to sneeze too much.
Sweep the seed off the verandah.
Rinse the water tubs,
Fill them back up.
Everyone's good?
Ok. Now I can have my breakfast.
