As she swept the office floor, Belle began to ponder on Petra's words from her dream last night. The brunette cadet was now cleaning up Levi's office as he ordered her to do while he sat at his desk reviewing paperwork, sipping his tea that she had brewed for him. Belle was glad that he didn't know how she was feeling but deep down inside, her heart was aching but she chose not to show it. Levi, meanwhile, was keeping an eye on her, making sure it was spotless aa he would be checking her work as usual.

"You've been quiet since you started cleaning." Remarked Levi, turning his gaze to Belle, still holding his teacup. "Is there something on your mind, cadet?"

Belle broke out of her stupor as she turned to face Levi. "Oh..uh..yes sir. I've been thinking..that for you, I'd be there now..or someplace worse. Seems like a guardian angel sent you for me."

"I'm flattered." Levi replied monotonously, taking a sip of tea.

"Listen to me, please sir. It's not like there's nothing I could do around here." Said Belle, softness evident in her voice. "Just say..if there was something that would happen to someone. Something bad..worse than the titans themselves..only you didn't know it."

Upon hearing Belle saying those words, Levi's fingers holding his cup, stiffened, a small gasp escaping his lips, his eyes widening.

"Sir, are you feeling okay?" Asked Belle, concerned.

(Every darkest sky has a shinging ray)

(And it shines on you baby can't you see)

(You're the only one who can shine for me)

"Eyebrows told you, didn't he?"

Belle's eyes widened as she knew what Levi was referring to. When Erwin told her about how he joined the Survey Corps and the deaths of Furlan and Isabel.

"Yes, he did tell me. I promised him not to tell anyone." She answered.

At this, Levi got up from behind his desk and walked to his office window, looking out.

(It's a private emotion that fills you tonight)

(And a silence falls between us)

(As the shadows steal the light)

(And wherever you may find it)

(Wherever it may lead)

(Let your private emotion come to me)

(Come to me)

"I remember your actions from the forest one night..where you went to save your brother."

Belle froze in the midst of her sweeping. "You do?"

"Yes. You acted so reckless out there..ran out of gas..used up your blades..and if Jaeger didn't come in time..."

Belle's mind became struck as she remembered the brown haired titan who rescued her. It was Eren.

The Rogue Titan, who slaughters other titans but doesn't kill humans.

Humanity's Last Hope, he was called.

(When your soul is tired and your heart is weak)

(Do you think of love as a one way street)

(Well it runs both ways, open up your eyes)

(Can't you see me here, how can you deny)

"Sir..I'm really sorry, I caused you great worry. I really am." Belle apologised sadly, turning her face away in guilt.

"You mustn't throw your life away, brat." Levi turned to her. "I lost Furlan and Isabel...my own squad. I am not losing you this time. Not now, not ever."

(And wherever you may find it)

(Wherever it may lead)

(Let your private emotion come to me)

"Captain, I appreciate your concern for my safety and my life..but you mustn't dwell on losing the ones who were close to you. It will only make your grief worse, even when you are clever to hide it along with your other emotions."

Levi was nearly taken aback by Belle's words.

"I know they call you Humanity's Strongest but..even heroes like yourself have their limits."

(Every endless night has a dawning ray)

(Every darkest sky has a shining ray)

(It takes a lot to laugh as your tears go by)

(But you can find me here till your tears run dry)

Belle's concern for Levi got the better of her. She placed her broom aside and began to make her way over to Levi, taking his wrists in her hands.

"Oi, what are you...?" Levi's question stopped halfway as Belle moved his arms around her shoulders, before resting her head against his chest, her hand against his beating heart.

Levi's gaze moved down on Belle who was still in her position. He had an urge to remove her from him but it was overtaken as his arms moved...

And embraced the cadet back.

(Let your private emotion come to me)

Minutes passed as they stayed in that position as the sun was starting to set.

"You know, captain? I'm starting to believe that you care for me." Belle whispered softly.

"I do with all my cadets, including you, cadet Boyer." Replied Levi, before adding. "Don't you think you should get back to cleaning? You've done the floor."

(Come to me)

It was almost dark as Belle had now finished her chores. The office was now sparkling clean and spotless as her superior had requested. She turned to tell him, she had finished cleaning, only to meet with a sight that melted her heart.

Levi, still sitting in his chair at his office desk, sleeping with his head resting on his hand, elbow on the desk.

Belle smiled softly as she put the cleaning equipment back into the cabinet. Turning, she softly tiptoed over to a sleeping Levi.

"Thank you, Levi..." She softly whispered, leaning over and gently planted a soft kiss on her captain's cheek, before turning to leave his office, closing the door behind her gently.

(Come to me)

Opening one eye, Levi looked to see Belle had left, having finished cleaning his office. He noticed his cheek, upon which she had kissed. A soft 'Tch' leaving his lips, he went back to sleep.
