My eyes went directly to the young girl that let out the scream. She looked much younger than me, dark brown hair and was wearing a light pink hoodie. Gosh it wasn’t that cold out it’s the middle of July we don’t need to act like it’s the dead of winter. But I can’t think about that anymore this girl was staring directly at me and I needed to get out of here before she caused a scene. I know she recognized me from earlier and I didn’t want other people to catch on or just crowd around because they think I’m someone important. I know for some girls it’s their dream for this to happen, but not me.

I quickly ducked behind a table displaying skirts, I would’ve liked to check them out but I’m currently trying to desperately avoid this young girl. I look over my shoulder to see if she’s still there and she has now moved to the back of the store so I can quickly leave, or just shop and ignore her. I know that a seventeen year old girl hiding behind a table seems strange, so I casually walk around to the front of the table to check out the skirts. I pick up the navy blue one and begin to look at it before I feel someone tapping lightly on my shoulder.

“Excuse me..” A small voice said. I look down to see the girl from earlier standing next to me.

“Yes” is all I say. I wish I wasn’t so awkward around people.

“Were you the ‘mystery girl’ with Luke today?” she softly says.

“I wasn’t with him but..” but what? I’m sorry I was just an unsuspecting victim that Luke decided to drag onto his tour bus? My subconscious adds to the conversation. I stand there collecting my thoughts when another taller girl joins in on the conversation.

“I know what she was doing she was flirting with Luke in a sad attempt to try and win him over and date him.” A small gasp escapes the smaller girls mouth as I stand there dumbfounded. I wasn’t flirting with him, it was far from it.

“I was shopping and he started talking to me.” I say to the tall one, she’s staring to annoy me with her assumptions. She shoots me a look that I took as… jealously? This girl must be a real fan of them like dedicated. I scan the room desperately for Grace or Laila and see none of them. They must be trying stuff on.. great. I try to move past the two girls that have seemed to miraculously turn into six. As I move to a clothing rack, the girls follow me and I have a strange feeling that they’ll be following me all throughout the entire store.

I pick up a see through black shirt and a couple of the girls start to whisper. I want to know what they’re saying but before I do, a girl wearing a shirt that is too short for her age says to me “Do you really want to be wearing that?” I look at her face that’s coated in makeup and want to tell her off but realize that I would look ridiculous talking to a child like that. That’s what all these girls are… children..

I look to the dressing rooms and thankfully see Laila come out. I rush over and the girls follow.

“Whoa looks like you’ve got your own possy huh?” she says and looks at the girls confused. I give her a look that says ‘I’ll explain later’ and ask when Grace will be out.

“Not much longer she has a few more items to try on but I’m going to check out.” She says walking to the cash register.

“I’ll come with you.” I desperately say to her in attempts to try to get away from the girls, but they just follow us like before. I can see Laila getting annoyed with the girls as she shoots some of them rude glances. I try to change the topic “Laila how’s Noah been?” Her mood goes from lethal to excited in a matter of seconds.

“He’s so wonderful! He’s coming to that party tomorrow! I’m so excited!” Oh right the party I completely forgot about it. I’m still unsure about going but maybe I will if it means meeting Noah. He seems nice and makes Laila happy, so he’s ok with me. Before I can reply Laila is saying to me “You should invite… uhm… Luke.” She says in almost a whisper to keep the girls from hearing. It doesn’t work because one of the girls hears and lets out the loudest scream I’ve heard. I look down at them and realize it’s the girl that was annoying me earlier. What’s her problem? Why can’t she just stop annoying me?

“YOU CAN’T INVITE LUKE TO THAT PARTY BECAUSE HE’S MINE!” That last part hit me and I finally realized what’s up with her. She’s a fangirl. I have nothing against them but this one was annoying the crap out of me and I wasn’t going to take it anymore. I did the only thing I could think of doing… I call Luke.
