Chapter 3

Katie's POV

Next day

There was a knock on my hotel door. I opened the door and there stood Christian and Matt.

"We're going down to the lobby to wait for everyone now, are you ready?" Matt asked.

I nodded my head and grabbed my phone leaving with the boys. We got to the lobby and saw a bunch of the other contestants waiting.

"Everyone looks knackered" Christian laughed.

"Correction, everyone's hung over" I laughed. We waited a little longer until we had to get on the coaches back to the building we were at yesterday.

"Here's what you have to do, on this wall there is a bunch of songs. Each song is on the wall 3 times and whoever has the same song as you is in your group. Good luck" Dermott explained. We all got into a huddle and everyone was getting ready to run. As soon as a horn went off we all bolted towards this wall.

I scanned my eyes through the songs and saw one I knew so grabbed it. Stitches, Shawn mendes.

"What song have you got?" Dermott suddenly asked from behind me. I turned around and saw him looking at me.

"Stitches" I said.

"Oh, I know who's in your group. Follow me" he said kindly walking ahead. I followed him and we stopped in front of a group of 5 boys.

"Lads, she's in your group" he said then walked away. I stood awkwardly in front of the boys and one spoke up.

"I'm sonny" he said with a smile. He's cute.

"I'm Luke, this is Cian, Lewis and Joel"

"All five of us are a band, yes lad" sonny continued. I laughed.

"Yes lad?" I laughed.

"What's wrong with that?!" Sonny joked.

"Nothing, it's cool" I said. We both smiled at each other.

"Okay......well we better get practising...looks like it's just us...." Joel said awkwardly, breaking the moment sonny and I had.

We started practicing and may I just say...these boys were amazing.

We spent the whole day practicing. Literally.

It was now 9pm and we all got the same taxi back to the hotel.

"Katie, what floor are you on?" Cian asked.

"5, you?" I asked.

"We're on the 3rd floor..." Lewis replied sadly.

"It's alright lads, I'll walk her up" sonny said smiling at me. I didn't object, I just smiled back. The boys took the lift as sonny and I took the stairs.

"So, how old are you?" He asked me as we slowly walked up the first flight of stairs.

"18, you?" I asked.

"19" he smiled.

"How long have you and the boys been a band for?" I asked him.

"About 4 months" he answered.

We finally reached my floor and he walked me to my door.

"Thank you, for walking me up here. You didn't really need to" I said tucking a piece of hair behind my ear.

"I wanted to, what if something happened to you?" He asked.

"In a hotel?" I laughed.

"Oh shut up you know what I mean" he laughed back.

"I'll see you tomorrow" I told him. He nodded. I pecked his cheek and walked inside my hotel room.

I laid back on my bed and sighed. Even though it could have been a stressful day, I had fun practicing. I'm glad I didn't get put in a group with someone ridiculous. Sonny is so sweet...and cute....so is Christian though. CRAP CHRISTIAN! I completely forgot about him. I guess I was so interested in sonny I forgot about Christian.

I like him...I love him...but I really like sonny as well now.

Next day

I sat down with the boys as the first group performed. They all got asked to come back tomorrow...I'm so nervous.

"You okay?" Sonny asked beside me.

"Yea...just a little nervous" I told him.

"You'll be fine" he said rubbing my knee. I slightly smiled and saw Christian and his group walk on stage. I smiled at the look of him. He made eye contact with me and smiled.

His group were singing seven years.

It got to his part and he slayed that performance! He didn't take his eyes off of me apart from the part which says about his brother where he looked up the sky, that was so cute. His whole group got asked to come back tomorrow and his face was full of shock and joy. After he got off stage he came over to my row. I stood up and went over to him. I hugged him tightly.

"Well done!" I said. He hugged back.

"Thank you" he said as we let go.

"CHRISTIAN! Oh my gosh, you done amazing well done!" Caitlyn suddenly said pulling him into a hug. I stood there like Billy no mates as she kept him for herself.

"Umm, Christian I'm gonna get back to sonny- I mean my group" I told him. He looked over at them and I could t exactly tell what the expression on his face was but he wasn't happy. I turned around and walked back over to my seat.

"So...you and Christian?" Sonny asked.

"Oh...we're just friends" I told him.

"So...it would be okay if I asked you on a date?" He blurted. My eyes grew wide.

"What?" I asked shocked.

"You know...if we get through to six seats, we stay here for another two weeks...if that's the case, will you go on a date with me?" He asked worried. I smiled.

"I'd love that" I told him.

A little longer wait, we're now on stage.

We sung the song and got asked to come back tomorrow! I'm so happy.

Next day

Today's the day we find out if we get through to the six seat challenge. We all got put into different rooms to find out if we got through or not. I stood with the boys because Matt and Christian, who were also in my room, stayed with Caitlyn.

The judges soon came in.

"Hello everyone" Simon said.

"It's been a really tough decision...but we have made our minds up now. All of you here have something special. That's why we've decided to send you all TO THE SIX SEAG CHALLENGE!!!" Nicole screamed. My eyes started pouring and I felt sonny pull me into a tight hug as he jumped up and down. I looked over at Caitlyn and saw she was being spun around by Christian. I chose to ignore it and be happy. I hugged sonny again and the other boys.

This is all crazy.

"So...that date?" Sonny asked with a huge smile on his face.

"Yea" I nodded.

"Tomorrow night, I'll pick you up at 7" he winked.
