Katie's POV

Next morning (Thursday)

I woke up, unsure about how got back into my hotel room last night. My head was pounding, I squinted my eyes as the sunlight shone through the blinds against the window. I rolled over on to my side so I was facing my bed side table and saw a glass of water with a note.

Morning ~ Roman X

I groaned as I sat up and drank the water. I forced myself to get ready for the day. Once I was finished to texted Roman to come over so I can find out what happened last night. Ten minutes past and there was a knock on the door. I swung the door open and allowed him to come inside. I laid on my bed and closed my eyes as the pounding in my head continued.

I heard him slightly chuckle.

"It's not funny" I whined.

"Kind of is" he laughed. I threw a pillow at him but he managed to catch it before it hit him in the face.

"Just tell me everything which happened last night after we danced together" I told him resting my head gently on the pillow again.

"Okay well..."

**flashback third person pov**

the music stopped and Katie lifted her head up from Romans shoulder. They made eye contact which lasted a couple of seconds before they awkwardly broke away. They made their way back to their table and sat down in their original seats. Katie stared at the bottle of wine which was sat in the middle of the table. After a few moments of debating, she reached over and picked the bottle up. She stared a it a moment then handed it to Roman to open. He chuckled lightly and opened the bottle for her, pouring some wine into her glass. She thanked him and they got into conversation, every five minutes she would re fill her glass.

"Katie! This is my friend Cameron Dallas" Nash said coming over to her table.

"Hi!" She said a little too loudly. She had seen pictures of this guy before but didn't know who he was. He returned the hello and Nash, Cameron and Hayes sat with both Roman and Katie.

"So, we saw you two dancing...you back together?" Hayes spoke. Katie suddenly spit the wine she was gulping down her throat, back into her glass at the sudden question from Hayes.

"Just friends" Roman assured him. Before Cameron went to speak, Katie's phone buzzed. She excused her self and stood by a big window as she read the message which was from Matt.

Matt- I know you're most likely busy right now but I just need to say this. I'm not gonna lie to you and say what you heard was a misunderstanding but I know that if I don't say this now, over text, I will never find the courage to get the words out of me. My three year relationship with my ex ended and I was so hurt, I thought everything was over. I believed I love her. But until I met you, I realised I didn't even know what love was. I don't exactly know what we ever was and what we could have possibly been but I know that I loved spending time with you and seeing you smile made me smile too. Four of diamonds moved into the house and Lauren was so stunning. She reminded me of my ex and it made me feel like I missed her. But knowing that there's a chance I lost you...makes me feel more hurt than I ever was after my break up with my ex, I've realised that I don't miss my ex, I miss the way our relationship was. And you make me feel so different to the way she ever did. In a good way. Just please, don't jump to conclusions about what you heard. I'm sorry X

She stared at the text. Unsure of what to reply. When something finally came to mind, her thumbs tapped away on her phone.

Katie- it's fine Matt. I guess I never thought about it in a different perspective like that. It's okay X

She stared down her phone but jumped out of her skin when a sudden voice was heard from behind her.

"Everything okay?" Roman asked. Katie nodded and handed him her phone. He read the message from Matt and looked stir with the emotion of hurt. He knew Matt was the one for her and it hurt him that he couldn't be that guy.

He placed her phone back in her hands and took her hands in his, guiding her back to their table where her two brothers and a friend no longer were.

Roman and Katie began messing about again and Katie gulped down many glasses of alcohol, she didn't even realise how drunk she became.

"Come on. Let's get you back to the hotel" Roman said helping her up. They both got in a taxi and Katie was being rather loud, annoying the driver. She laughed and turned her head to Roman. He smiled at the sight of her happiness. She stared in his eyes and saw something she never saw in them before. Need? Sorrow? Love? She always knew his feelings for her. But the look in his eyes told her how much he truly loved her. She flicked her eyes from his lips back to his eyes. She slowly leaned in, Roman did too. They stopped just before the kiss and gave each other another glance before Katie closed the gap, attaching her lips on his. The kiss was sweet and gentle but became more passionate through out. They broke apart as the taxi pulled in front of the hotel. Roman quickly payed the taxi driver and helped Katie out. Keeping an arm around her to support her he walked her inside and to the lift. Katie punched the floor 7 on the button where her room was and turned back to Roman.

In a matter of seconds they were kissing again. This one was passionate and full of love. It was almost as if Katie was sober, she knew what she was doing and didn't regret it one bit.

The lift doors opened and she took his hand in hers, taking her to her room. She kissed him before opening her door but Roman was first to break away this time.

"You're drunk" he mumbled staring in her eyes as their faces were close.

"I know..." She whispered back.

"Then why are you doing this?" He asked hurt.

"...I see it in your eyes Roman. For years of growing up watching the happy endings in a Disney movie, seeing the photos and videos tagged under the hashtag relationship goals, heading perfect stories and seeing touching movies where the guy would look at the girl in such a loving and caring way...I always wanted that. I see it in your eyes, you look at me that way." She said a tear slipping out of her eye. He stared at her sympathetically.

"Matt looks at you like that too you know?" He told her.

"Does he? He seems so focused on other things half the time. I never look close enough"  she said looking at the floor.

"Come on. You're drunk, we're not talking about this now." He told her, taking the key card out of her hand and swiping it through the door. He guided her inside and she collapsed onto her bed, dragging Roman down with her.

Roman stared at the ceilings for a few moments until light, tiny snores fell out of her mouth. He sighed in a fed up tone and looked down at her cute, little face.

A smile couldn't help fall upon his face as he saw the gorgeous girl lay beneath his eyes.

Katies POV

Present time

All the memories came flooding back as Roman gave the story out to me. My heart hurts.

I didn't feel like that last night because I was drunk, it was almost as if I was sober but I wasn't. They were true feelings.

I know what I need to do.
