No Voldemort - Marauders Survive

Chapter 9

The Potters, Lupins and Blacks where all making their way down platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross station. They where a big group of 14 and where attracting a lot of attention.
"Look! Its James Potter and his kids!"
"I bet he's really good at Quidditch!"
Harry heard two boys whispering.  He turned around and faced his dad,
"Dad i knew most people knew you at Hogwarts but i mean i didn't know you where this well known!" He said shocked. James grinned at his son and ruffled his sons hair, "well son, unless you have forgotten, i do play for Scotland."
The group had put the trunks away and the young Marauders had boarded the train. They heard the whistle and waved to their family as it sped off.
"Time to find the compartment," Harry said looking up and down the train.
"Dad said it was the tenth one down from the top on the left. " Teddy said making his way down the train. Harry grinned, thank goodness for Teddy's smart thinking. They walked down the train until they found the compartment they where looking for. Thankfully it was empty.
"Look." Orion said pointing to a mark under the small table, it was an engraving:

"The Marauders.
We Solemnly Swear We Are Up To No Good.
Moony
Padfoot
And
Prongs
Mischief Manged"

Teddy read to the other boys.
"This is it we found it!" Harry said bouncing on his chair with excitement. Orion looked around until he found a small gash on the wall,
"Look heres the place were Snape hexed your dad Harry." He said pointing to it. Harry shuddered, he wouldn't want to be in the receiving end of that. Teddy and Harry sat down opposite each other while Orion sat beside Teddy and put his feet over Teddy and on the table. Soon the trolley lady came and they bought loads of each kind. Money wasn't a problem for the kids as they each came from a very wealthy family, Remus recently making thousands of Galleons from a potion that is successful for curing his 'furry little problem'.
"Is that Dumbledoor!" Teddy exclaimed to Harry when he opened his chocolate frog.
"Yeah! I haven't got him yet!" Harry replied.
"Really? I have like five of him." Orion said through mouthfuls of food. Teddy looked at him in disgust,
"Can you ever eat nicely?" He asked. Harry and Orion laughed. "Nope " Orion replied, popping the -p.
The boys continued joking, laughing, eating and planing pranks for the rest of the journey until a girl with bushy brown hair came in.
"Have any of you seen a toad?" She asked, "a boy called Neville has lost one. Im Hermione Granger by the way."
"Neville?" Harry replied, ignoring her question, "as in Neville Longbottom?"
"Yes" she answered looking at him wearily
"Nev!"
"I haven't seen him in ages!" Harry and Orion said jumping up.
"Could you please tell us what compartment he is in?" Teddy asked politely. Hermione decided she liked this boy much more than the other two, they looked like trouble.
"Three down from the left," she said smiling at him. He thanked her and they left.
"NEVILLE!" Harry Orion and Teddy shouted running into the compartment and jumping on him.
"We haven't seen you in ages!"
"Too long"
"Far too long"
The said to him still in a doggy pile.
"Er...hi" a boy with red hair and freckles said to them.
The boys jumped up.
"Hi" they replied like triplets.
"Im Ron by the way, Ron Weasley."
Harry thought for a moment, "Weasley, your dad works at the ministry doesn't he?" Harry asked him. Ron expected some kind of insult and was a bit taken aback.
"Er...yeah" he said rather awkwardly.
"Im Harry, Harry Potter"
"Orion, Sirius Orion Black the fourth,"
"Teddy Lupin" they boys said to him smiling. Ron's mouth fell to the floor, these where the kids of the three most wealthy wizarding families there was. He certainly didn't expect them to be so nice. He didn't say anything just looked at them mouth still wide open.
"Er...well we'll see you later Nev, Ron" Teddy said walking out.
"That was awkward." Orion said, the other two muttering in agreement.

The train journey finished and the boys hopped of the train with the rest of the first years.
"Fir's years, firs' year over year!" A booming voice shouted over the crowd. The boys recognised it immediately.
"Hagrid!"
"Ello Arry, Teddy, Orion." He said giving them a bone-crushing hug. The other first years looked in shock that they would already know the half-giant.
"Hows your parents en? I 'aven't seen them in ages i 'aven't, say hi to them will ya?" He asked.
The boys nodded their heads and entered a boat.
They had seen the castle before when they went to visit Aunt Minnie (Magonagal) and Uncle Albus (Dumbledoor) with their parents. Of course the knew all the secret passageways already. Although they had been there many times before, seeing the castle from the boats always made it much more extraordinary. They first years fell into a awed silence as they watched the castle draw nearer.

They soon came to the bank where they were met by a strict tall looking woman.
The boys were about to say hi to her when she sent them a glare. They took this as a hint to be silent but Harry couldn't resist a slight smirk.
"Hello everyone, welcome to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. I am Professor Magonagal... " she started in her thick Scottish accent, rolling her 'r's. Harry and Orion had zoned out. There was no point in listening to the rules as they would probably break them whether they knew them or not. Teddy though, was listening excitedly, hanging onto her every word.
"Well then, into the hall and the sorting will begin." She said to the nervous first-years. Teddy, Harry and Orion waited at the back.
"Oh, boys," she said wrapping them in a hug. "I haven't seen you in ages." The boys grinned,
"Minnie!"
She scowled at them, "Professor Magonagal please boys, Ah, well, we must be getting to the sorting." She ushered them in and walked to the front of the group. Opening her list she started reading;
"Taylor Adams" "HUFFLEPUFF"
A large cheer erupted from the table of yellow and black. Once again, Harry zoned out till he heard the name of his best friend.
"Sirius Orion Black the fourth" The Slytherins scowled as he walked up to the chair with a confidence Harry knew he never felt. After about a minute the hat shouted, "GRYFFINDOOR" A cheer came from the table of red and gold but Harry and Teddy where by far the loudest.
"WELL DONE MY SMOL SON"
"ABSOLUTELY SPIFFING CONGRATS" Harry and Teddy shouted. The Great Hall erupted in laughter at the friends. Mcgonagal sighed, she was going to have a hard time with these boys. Not a bit embarrassed, Orion shouted back bowing to the hall,
"WHY THANK YOU THANK YOU" once again three quarters of the hall was in laughter until Magonagal started reading again.
"Vanessa Callums"
"SLYTHERIN"
Unsurprisingly, Harry zoned out. Like his father said, it was very boring unless it was someone you knew. He laughed at the memory, his mum had hit him on the back of the head with the Daily Prophet when he said that.
"Mary Kelson"
"RAVENCLAW"
Until finally came,
"Edward John Lupin" Teddy looked more nervous than Orion had walking up but had some confidence none the less. 
"Hmm, a kind personality you have, yes. Hufflepuff would work but... Brave also and loyal, yes very brave, it will have to be,
GRYFFINDOOR"
Once again cheers came from the Gryffindoor table and once again Harry was the loudest, this time it was Orion joining him.
"WOOO I KNEW YOU WERE NEVER A NERD LUPIN!" Harry and Orion shouted at the same time. Dumbledoor chuckled to himself, exactly like their fathers these two where, no doubt they would get up to just as much trouble.
A Hufflepuff then a Slytherin later it was Harrys turn.
"Harry James Potter" Straight away the whispering started, James Potter was an ex-Auror, a player for the Scottish Quidditch team and very wealthy.
"Oh a big trouble maker we have here i see. Definitely Gryffindoor for you. A direct descendant of Godric himself. My, my. Oh i see you set your sofa on fire the other day. Hmm-"
"That was an accident!" Harry exclaimed throwing his hands up. The great hall burst into laughter.
"GRYFFINDOOR"
Harry jumped up and jogged down to the Gryffindoor table.
"WELL DONE MY CHILD WELL DONE" Orion said wiping a fake tear from his face.
"WE HAVE BROUGHT YOU UP WELL!" Teddy said pretending to be emotional. Harry sat beside them. 
"Woooo, we are in the same house!" He said high-fiving the other two. They ignored the rest of the sorting until Dumbledoors speech. He went on about rules and regulations and boring stuff Harry didn't want to know about.
"...and the Forbidden Forest is out of bounds for all students," he said, "and now i shall saw these last few words then the feast shall start; Nick, Nack, Fricklty Frack."
Harry and Orion looked at the food with wide eyes, then back at each other then dug in eating, as Teddy put it, like animals. Teddy chuckled at the his best friends, they were going to have the best year EVER!
