"Well we were thinking we could just go to the movies or something, maybe walk around the mall?" Ian said with a shrug, blushing a bit.

"Sounds good to me." I said smiling, Anthony and Kalel agreeing.

All four of us piled into the car, Anthony driving, Kalel beside him, and Ian and I next to each other. They totally did this on purpose. It even felt like he tried to not make any contact with me. He was looking out the window silently the entire time.

"Is there something wrong, Ian? You're being quiet." Anthony said, noticing him too.

"No. Just... tired." Ian responded kinda quick. Now I knew something was up.

We had finally reached the movies and were walking inside. Anthony and Kalel in front of us. We weren't talking until I finally didn't like the silence, "Ian I know something's wrong. You can tell me, you know?"

"There isn't anything wrong."

"Ian. Come on." By now I had stopped him and turned his shoulders so that he faced me, "What is it?"

"Please don't get mad at me."

"I won't. I promise. Just tell me."

"I'm just... nervous."

"That's all?"

"Y-..." he didn't finish because Anthony cut him off.

"Are you guys coming or what?"

"Just go ahead Anthony, we'll be there in a sec."

They turned around, walking in, and I turned to face Ian, putting on a soft face to help him.

"I kinda like you." I could barely hear him because he was whispering so quietly.

"Oh Ian. Don't be shy about that." I went to rap my arms around his neck when he grabbed my waist and pulled me closer.

"Thanks."

"No problem," I broke apart from him, seeing the slight disappointment on his face leave immediately, "They're probably waiting on us."

"Yeah." Ian took my hand and we walked into the theater.

By the time we walked out of the theater it was about lunch time and my stomach reminded me by growling loudly.

"Someone need some food?" Ian turned to me.

"Haha yes, I do."

"Well let's stop at that café across the street." Anthony said.

"Cool."

When we walked in I was hit in the face with the smell of coffee and whatever food was being cooked. We sat down at a booth, with me next to Ian. They always do this to us. Ian's hand slipped onto my thigh. He looked over at me in the corner of his eye, I smiled, letting him know it was okay. This was a date so i'll let him have a good time. Anthony said to treat him good, so I couldn't refuse.

A waitress came over, "Would you guys like something to drink today?"

"Water, please." I said first. Kalel said the same.

"Coke, please." Ian said.

"Same, thank you." Anthony finished.

"I'll be right out with those." she said before walking away. We all stared at out menus until she came back, gave us drinks, and took our orders.

As I picked up my drink to take a sip Kalel started to ask, "so... did you guys kiss before the movie, when we left you alone?"

I nearly choked on my water and started coughing. When I finally regained my breathing I answered, "No... we were just talking."

"Well you guys act like you're dating. I saw Ian put his hand on your thigh."

I started coughing again. Ian patted my back and looked down blushing a little.

"Umm... I... just need some fresh air real quick." Ian got up and let me out. I walked outside. I really need to think. Well, should I admit to liking Ian? He admitted his feelings, and is even getting more comfortable with me. It's not like I have anyone else in this world to be with anymore, ever since my mom passed away. Tears instantly started coming to my eyes, just thinking about her, the only one keeping me from killing myself. Until Ian. He saved my life, and I can't repay that. I've realized that I shouldn't ever try to do that again. I think I should go out with him sometime. Something to repay him. Anything. I heard the door open and turned to see Ian coming towards me. It had started raining a little and now I was freezing. Ian walked up to me, seeing my tears.

"Why are you crying?" he asked, wiping my tears away with his thumb.

"A lot is going through my head right now, and I think we should go somewhere alone tonight so I can tell you about some things. Things I've been meaning to get off my chest. I think you should know about them since I can't tell anyone else."

"Of course. Do you want to leave right now? Anthony and Kalel should have some time alone, too."

"Yeah. That'd be nice." I said, trying my best to smile at how he was trying.

"Alright. You stay here. I'll go tell them real quick."

"Okay." I said as he walked back in. He came out within seconds. He took my hand and we started walking.

"Are you okay? You know it breaks my heart to see you crying like this."

I looked up to him and smiled. He was so sweet. I stopped him and turned his shoulders towards me. "Ian, you have done nothing but treat me with so much kindness and respect since the day we met. You didn't even have to help me or accept me into your home, or your life. And I tell you, I am so grateful for you. I can't even explain it. You've made me realize the mistake I was going to make and how you changed my entire life. Thank you, so, so much. I could never repay you, but I wish there was a way I could."

"Xhex..." that was all he said for awhile. He just stared at me. Well, what was his problem? I guess I just said something. I started to turn away before he grabbed my shoulders and started talking, "I've never had anyone actually care that much as to thank me or even call me sweet for that matter. A lot of people treat me kinda bad, and I was worried everyone would always like Anthony better. But, no. You came and changed MY life. You accepted me and didn't turn to him and like him better like all the others. They don't even care that he is engaged to Kalel. I should be the one thanking YOU." all I could do was stare at him. I didn't know I impacted his life that much. I thought I was the menace.

"Ian... are you being serious?"

"Am I being serious?! Of course, Xhex! I like you a lot!" I hadn't expected that. I just stared at him in shock until he realized what he just said, "i am such an idiot! I'm sorry, I-I can't believe I just said that..." I cut him off before he could ramble any further, "I like you, too, Ian." I said with a small smile.

"Y-you, w-what?"

"I said I like you too. It's okay."

He grabbed me in a hug and I wrapped my arms around his neck, "Oh, Xhex! I can't believe you like me too. I've only known you for a little while, but I don't care. I like you anyways."

"I like you too Ian. But I still have a lot to tell you." I said letting go of him.

"Of course." he said taking my hand and walking with me down the street.
