"So is this why you never come near me?" I sigh, rocking back and forth with my arms wrapped around my legs. I can't stop shaking and sweating. My mouth is so dry. I'm starting to feel bad for people with addictions, it's all I'm thinking about and I can practically hear my heartbeat in my ears, ringing loudly.

"Yeah, my urges are just too much and I didn't want to hurt you, the smell of your blood is so strong, the second I come near you I worry about losing control." He sighs, looking around the hotel room. He's currently babysitting me so I don't go suck on a humans neck, which is all I want to do.

"I understand now, but tell me, do you wish you could touch me?" I ask.

"Every second I'm around you" he nods.

"If I turned, could we be together then? You wouldn't crave my blood then would you?" I can't believe I even asked that.

"Jayde, stop it. You're not turning." He groans.

"I said if" I bite back.

"Yes jayde, if you was a vampire we could live happily ever after together. But it's not that simple, you do not want to be a vampire, trust me on that one, it changes everything, you become a different person entirely." I can tell he's getting frustrated.

"Ill be fine alone if you want to go eat." I say, trying to get him out of here, I need time alone and this pounding is my head is making me want to scream.

"What if someone comes in?" He asks, looking worried.

"I'll tell them to leave, just like I'm telling you to leave, go find yourself a dear or something." I sigh pointing to the door. I assume that's what he feeds on, unless he has a pack of human stashed in a fridge somewhere.

"Fine I'll be 10 minutes." He says before getting up and leaving.

A few minutes later I hear the door open again.

"What now" I sigh but when I turn and look up I see Shan walking towards me. Suddenly I get a massive sensation up my nose, the smell is so strong, I can't take it. My eyes are starting to twitch. I can see the vains in her neck popping.

"Jayde your eyes" Shan gasps. Before I can stop myself I charge across the room and bite down hard on her neck, draining the blood as far as I can, filling my every need for blood. Completely shutting out her screams.

"Jayde stop stop stop" I hear someone shout from behind me but I can't stop, it's just too good, I can't pull myself away.

I feel someone pulling on my shoulders, hard and finally lose control and fall backwards.

It hits me hard when I see the state of Shan, I did that to my best friend.

And now I'm going to turn.
