Heart of Steel [Pokémon Fanfiction]

Hello everyone, I'm ImberLapis! And welcome to Heart of Steel! After so many edits, I can finally say that the current iteration of this story is the true, definitive version.

   To get it out of the way, I'll go ahead and list the content warnings. This story contains:
•Occasional violence
•Occasional swearing
•Dark themes, including death
•Very scarce instances of abuse against minors
•Semi-graphic descriptions of the above listed items

   In the past I've gotten a bit of flack for these things, so I'm listing them out here since I've taken down any Viewer's Discretion warnings on the principal that real stories don't warn you about what's to come. I know this is just fanfiction, but I like to treat my stories as if they were real ones.

   Also, while this story features some familiar faces, they won't all be the same as you remember them from the games. Steven himself, while retaining some traits from his OR/AS counterpart, will be quite different personality-wise. As this is meant to be his backstory, then personality differences should be expected. But if you're not a fan of characters acting out-of-character, then you might want to reconsider reading this story.
