Why is She Broken?

Chapter 3: Her First Day

     Payton looks at her schedule and heads to her next class. She hasn't seen Austin which is a big relief for her. She walks into her first class and it was Science. She starts talking to the teacher, Ms. Taylor. Then she goes and sits
in her seat and remembers what Ms. Taylor said, "Everyone is going to have desk partners. You should have a great time with yours."
She gets out a pencil and sits there waiting for her desk partner to arrive. She watches everyone walk in, no one came and sat by her. Then the bell rings. She is disappointed that her partner on the first day didn't show up.
All the desks were filled but one seat which was right by her. Then someone walks in but she didn't see who. He walks to the seat by her and sits down. She's filled with excitement and looks up.
Surely enough is was Austin. Payton's heart dropped. She started hyperventilating and was having a major anxiety attack. Austin looked at her and started to get worried.
"Pay, Pay calm down. It's alright. You don't have to be nervous around me." Austin proclaimed.
"You broke my heart Austin. How am I supposed to react?" She responded as she looks at him.
"Just act normal. I didn't mean too okay. You know that. I want you to be happy with-" He didn't get to finish.
"Don't you dare say you want me happy with out you. Don't you fucking dare." She said with her teeth together.
He looks back at the teacher and sighs.
She looks at her lap and starts crying quietly. She has decided to change out of the class to not see him every morning.
The bell rings and she runs out of the classroom crying very heavily. She runs into the bathroom and starts having a panic attack. She goes in the stall starts crying even more. She doesn't know what to do.
Then someone walks in, calling Payton's name.
