Why is She Broken?

Chapter 11: Home

Payton wakes up from her nap at her house. She can feel the bruises on her back start to form. The metal hitting her over and over until the umbrella broke into two pieces. Her father was overly drunk once again and pissed off.
He decides to take it out on her daughter that already has enough problems.
It's been 4 months since Payton was in the hospital from her attempt of suicide. Violet, Alex, and JoJo were keeping a close eye on her to make sure she didn't try anything like that again. They all are together all the time. Alex
and Payton keep getting closer and they tell each other everything until one day...
Payton gets a text from Alex and Violet in their group chat.
"Hey Payton. Are you busy?" Alex types.
"Hey. No I'm free. Just waiting for the pain to go away, like usual. Why? What's up?"
"Um we need to tell you something very important." Violet answers.
"Okay. What is it?" Payton asks.
"We are dating." Violet answers before Alex can.
"You and Alex.." Payton sighs.
"Yeah." Alex replies.
"That's great I guess." Payton says.
Payton sets down her phone and instantly starts crying. She curls in a ball on the floor and bawls her eyes out. She runs to the bathroom and grabs her blade. She looks at her giant scars from when she attempted suicide not long ago. She takes the blade acrossed her wrists to many times to count. She takes a shower to wash all the blood away but keeps adding more cuts to her thighs and stomach. She kept cutting until she was numb and
couldn't feel the pain. She finally stopped and got out of the shower.
When she gets out of the shower and wraps herself with gauzes and elastic wraps and acts like nothing happened. She decides not to go to school tomorrow so she doesn't have to see them together and kissing, hugging, flirting and whatever else. She was done being the third wheel with everyone. Her sister, JoJo in sixth grade, and now Alex and Violet.
She hears her phone buzz multiple times and sees that they are texts from Violet.
"Hey Payton. I thought I should tell you the truth. You are pathetic. The only reason I became your friend was to get closer to Alex and get together with him. I know you guys like each other now I'm with him so don't even try
to do anything stupid. If you tell anyone about this I will kill you. You probably don't believe me but I will. I will kill you with my two hands or I'll make your life a living hell. Now do the world a favor and kill yourself."
Payton just sat there in shock. Violet, one of her best friend played her. She faked being her friend just so she could get close to Alex. Payton remembers seeing Violet hanging out with Paisley before. Paisley must have
put her up to this so that Paisley could get to know him better and get together with her. She always saw Paisley staring at Alex whenever they were with each other. Payton gets so angry she runs to Paisley's room.
"Are you fucking kidding me Paisley?!"
"What the hell are you talking bout?"
"You put Violet up to this. You fucking cunt." Payton screams.
"What the fuck did you just call me Payton?" Paisley replies.
Payton walks over to her bed and looks her right in the eyes and says..
"You are a fucking cunt. All you know how to do is ruin people's lives. You stupid fucking whore." Payton finishes as she slaps Paisley as hard as she can and walks out of the room. Paisley calls out to her.
"Payton you will pay for that!"
"I don't fucking care you stupid fucking cunt! I fucking hate you!" Payton yells at the top of her lungs and slams the door as hard as possible. Payton sits in front of the door trying her hardest to not go and kick Paisley's ass.
She gets up and starts punching the walls. She punches them until her fists are all bloody and her knuckles are slip open. She realizes how much she hates Paisley and wishes she was never her sister.
