Chapter 5: He's The New Kid?

     JoJo and Payton were sitting at lunch when there was a lot of gossip going around. Then someone they have never seen before walks to their table and everyone goes completely silent. He sits down on the table that no one would suspect. Of course he could be just a new freshman but he looks older.
He looks like a junior, their age maybe?
     He was surely handsome. He has kinda long black hair, amazing brown eyes, he even had glasses but he was extremely handsome, he wore a band shirt, it was Payton's favorite band, he had a spiked bracelet. He sat down
and just looked at Payton, Payton couldn't stop looking at him.
      "Um hey. I'm the new kid I guess. My name is Alex."
       "Hi. I'm Payton and this is JoJo."
       "Hey!" Smiled JoJo.
     He chuckles. Payton has butterflies in her tummy. She blushes and looks at her lap.
       "So Alex. What grade are you in? How old are you? Where did yo--"
     Payton interrupted JoJo, "JoJo keep talking and you'll scare him away."
     They all laugh and Payton can't help to notice how amazing his laugh is.
       "I am a junior. I am 16. Turning 17 in November. And I moved from Arizona. Now I'm in Utah."
       "Arizona? What is it like there? I've only been there to go to Nevada." Asked Payton.
       "One word describes the whole state, hot! Utah is so much cooler. It's so much better. I've never experienced snow, so I'm kinda nervous about that."
     Payton and JoJo look at each other and Payton speaks, "Snow here is horrible. I'm sorry you'll experience Utah snow for the first time."
       "I am actually quite excited to experience snow. Even if it snows horribly, I'll still enjoy it."
       "Well hopefully we will have a snowy winter so you can see what we have gone through the past 16 years." Said JoJo
       "You guys are 16?"
       "Yes. I just turned 16 that to long ago. Payton turned 16 a few months ago."
       "February is a long time ago JoJo. May isn't that long."
     Alex chuckles and takes a drink of his water. Payton couldn't stop looking at him. She thought she was extremely handsome. She thought she was already falling in love with him. Alex seemed to be falling in love with her
even though they don't know each other that well.
     The bell rings and they all go to their classes. Payton helps Alex get to his next class which turned out to be hers, it was English. They sat by each other and talked the whole time.
     She liked him a lot, he liked her a lot. What if they stop being friends because of the secret. She doesn't even know if she is gonna tell JoJo.
