Four Lovely Weeks Later

Austin holds my hand nervously as we sit side by side in the doctor's office waiting to be called back for our first appointment for the baby together. I can tell hes been nervous, but other days its like he doesn't even really talk about the baby, or hes over the top excited about it. When he is excited about the baby it makes me feel a lot better about the whole situation.

Austin and I have decided that we don't want to tell anybody about the baby for another week or two because if anything were to happen to the baby we do not want to have to explain what happened to everybody while its stil a really fresh subject. I think its a great idea, really. Although, I do think Alan suspects something is up because he has come over multiple times, and tries to get me to drink, but since i'm pregnate I have to turn down the offer.

While we are still on the subject about the baby, we have also decided that we are going to continue to be looking for apartments together. It will save money for the diapers, food, and other baby supplies. I'm really dreading August, and September because Austin, Alan, Phil, Tino, and Aaron will all be off in New Jersey recording their new album. So I'm planning on asking Storme if he would mind coming and staying with me while Austin is off recording.

"Lindsay Sterling?" I nurse calls from the hallway.

"That would be us," Austin says standing up quickly, and dropping my hand.

I get up also, and follow Austin, and the nurse back to the fourth room down the hall on the left.

"I have just a few questions for you, and then I'm going to take your blood pressure, and your temperature, and then the doctor will be right in to exaime you," She says putting her laptop on the desk, "You can hop up on the table there, and sir if you woud like you can take a seat there at the end of the table."

"You are currently two months, and two weeks along, correct?"

"Yes."

"Have you been expieriencing any unusual problems?"

"Nope,"

"Are you the father?" she asks looking up at Austin who had ignored her request to sit in the chair.

"Yes," he says with a nervous look on his face.

"And are you panning on keeping the baby?"

"Yes," Austin and I say in unison.

"Alright, give me one second to take your blood pressure, and temperature, and the doctor will be in shortly," She says

She takes my blood pressure, and temperature, and then silightly takes her laptop, and leaves the room. Austin grabs a hold of my hand, and continues to stand right next to me.

"You okay babe?" I ask Austin.

"What if I'm not going to be a good enough father since I'll have to trave a lot?" He asks me

"Listen, you are going to be a great dad. You're going to be supporting the family that we are going to soon be having, and thats how it should be. Everything will be fine. I promise."

I kiss his cheek, and rest my head on his arm. About a minute later the doctor walks in.

"Hi Lindsay, its nice to see you," He says shaking my hand, "and who is this?" He says ooking at austin, and extending a hand towards him.

"This would be my boyfriend, Austin."

"Its nice to meet you, Austin," He says

"You too, doctor."

"If you would, pease pull your shirit up, and lay down on the table, and Austin, you could move to the other side if you'd like," he says turning on the sonogram.

Austin makes his way to the other side of the table, and grabs a hold of my hand. The doctor puts the gel on my stomach, and starts moving the thing around my stomach.

"Oh, here look, this is you guy's baby," He says pointing to the small baby on the screen.

"Thats our baby," Austin says squeezing my hand, "Do you have any clue when we are going to find out the gender of the baby?" Austin says looking intenty at the screen.

"Well, you are ten weeks along, and judging by the way the baby's position, you can find out today if you'd like," he says with a smile spread acorss his face.

Asutin looks at me with wide eyes, "Do you wanna find out?" He asks with much excitement in his voice.

"Of course," I repy unsure what I want the baby to be.

"Well congratulations on your baby girl," He says cleaning up my stomach.

Austin looks at me with big bright eyes, "We're going to have a baby girl," He says with a huge smile on his face. He leans down and kisses me gently, and I sit up, and pull my shirt down.

"Have a nice day," the doctor says as we leave the room.

"You too," we say as we walk out of the room hand in hand.

"I love you so dmn much," Austin says as we get into the car.

"I love you so damn much too," I tell him kissing him.
