We bring our little darling baby girl, Briar home from the hospital, and we bring her into the house. I hold her in my arms as she is wrapped up in her little pink blanket that Ash, and Alan had brought us the day after I had her. Austin throws the keys at Dan, and Dan opens the door to our apartment.

"Welcome to your new home, Briar!" I tell her as Austin drops all of our stuff on the ground.

"This is the living room," I tell her, "where you are probably going to be spending most of your time because your room is kind of small and there is no chairs or anything for me to sit on while you keep me up all night."

"And this be the kitchen where I'll be preparing you food in the future," I say laughing, "this is the dining room while you will be eating the food I give you, and you better appreciate it because I'm going to learn how to cook just for you," I say as Austin and Dan Laugh hysterically.

"This is where you will be staying for the time that we will be living here. We put a lot of time, and effort into this room while you were still in my tummy. Daddy, and I threw paint at each other and got really messy. We have a couple pictures of it," I tell her as we make our way back into the living room.

About an hour later....

Austin, and I nod at each other and we take a minute to prepare ourselves.

"Dad, we have an idea to propose to you," Austin says slowly, and rubbing his thighs nervously.

"Shoot," He says taking a swig of his beer.

"We were kind of wondering if you would like  to move down here, to California. You could get an apartment, you'd be closer to us, we can keep in touch a lot easier, and you can baby sit Briar. Its win win." Austin says holding his breath.

"Alright. I'll fly home this upcoming week, and start packing. I'll look for an apartment tomorrow." he says happily.

"This may have just made everything ten times more easier for all four of us," I tell him as he laughs.

"Lindsay, I have a question for you," he says

"shoot." I tell him curious to what he is going to ask me.

"Are you, and your parents on bad terms?"

I am slightly caught off guard from the sudden question. "well, when I was thirteen my dad had passed away so he hasn't been in my life, and my mom on the other hand has nothing to do with me, and I haven't spoken to me since I was fifteen. and as for my foster parents, as soon as I turned eighteen I moved out and I haven't talked to them since," I say simply.

"Oh.. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked." He says looking down at his hands.

"Don't worry about it, it means nothing to me at this point. All that matters is what's now, not then."
