The Darkness Is Blinding Me, Consuming Me

** Lindsay's Point Of View **

  "No she is never going to go near any concerts unless I am standing right there with her, and holding her hand," Austin says snapping his fingers.

  "If our daughter wants to go to any concerts, I'll be making sure I am her chaperone, or you're not the only one taking her," I tell him laughing, and rubbing my stomach.

  "You're going to make the best mother, ever," he tells me as he looks into my eyes, and stroking my cheek with his finger, and kissing me lightly.

  "Oh go to bed, Mr. Carlile." I tell him rolling onto my back.

  "Fine, Miss Sterling," he says kissing my cheek, and returning to his side of the bed.

  I lay awake in bed for what seems like two hours. I roll out of bed, and make my way into our bathroom, sighing. I stand in front of the mirror, and stare at my reflection. I shake my head, and bend over, and splash water into my face a couple times. I grab the towel hanging on the towel rack, drying my face off. I nmake my way back into our bedroom, and get back in bed.

** Approx 1 Hour Later **

I feel a rush of water between my legs.

A contraction suddenly comes apon me as I groan loudly, and shriek loudly.

"Babe, Babe are you okay?" Austin asks quickly.

"Austin, wake up your dad, its time to get the little one out," I tell him, as he jumps out of bed, and throws on his clothing from earlier today, and helps me out of the bed, and running down the hallway banging on the guest bedroom door.

  I grab my suitcase that I had packed a few days before today, and make my way out into the living room, and setting it down. After what seems like an hour we are jumping into the car, and driving to the hospital. Dan is driving, and I'm in the back with Austin as he's holding my and tightly, as I squeeze his hand.

We make our way into the hospital, and they get me into a wheelchair, and then push me into a room. Dan is laughing at Austin at how stressed out he is, and they get me situated in my gown, and get me ready, and set up. They say that it will be quite a while yet, and Austin sighs in frustration.

"I just want to meet my baby girl," Austin says nervously.

"Well figure out how I feel, this is my first grandchild." Dan says hitting Austin's shoulder.

"TELL ME HOW YOU THINK I FEEL," I tell them.

Dan starts laughing hysterically, and rests his head on Austin's back, as tears of laughter roll down his tan cheeks. I glare at him, as I can feel yet another contraction coming on.  

** Three Hours Later **

"Okay, Lindsay, this baby is ready to come out," the doctor says as they begin getting everything up again.

Everything goes by in what seems like seconds of blurry pain, and agony, an before I know it I hear a little baby crying. Tears are rolling down my face as I see them handing her to Austin looks at me with glossy eyes. Austin has to hand her back off to the nurses, as they do some check ups on her, and such, and Austin appears by my side, and grabs a hold of my hand, and pushes my hair back.

"You did a great job babe, she's beautiful," He says kissing my forehead, and gains a huge smile on his face.

Before I know it, they're coming over to me with her in her hand. I sit myself up, with the help of Austin, and Dan, and open my arms up for her. I hold her in my arms gently, and carefully. I look at her in awe as she looks so small, and innocent.  hold her for a little while longer, before I ask Dan if he wants to hold her, he nervously nods his head, and  I hand her off to Austin who then walks her over to Dan who is  on the other side of me. Dan takes her in his arms and looks at her in awe, as I did, and he wipes a tear from his cheek, and looks at the both of us.

"The two of you did a really great job." Dan says  stroking her face with his thumb, "This reminds me of when you were born Mr." he says looking over at Austin, who has a huge smile stretched across his face. 

& I know she is going to be something big. Something that's going to make me, Austin, & Dan all exceedingly proud of her.
