|| Chapter 24 ||

I arrive at Ivys house stroking my nail marks. Why? Why did I do this?

The door swings open and she is standing there. She is all dressed up and a big smile on her face. We step out the door and into her car.

"Oh my god, I am so excited! Aren't you?" She says. But I am too busy looking at the jabs in my arms.
"Leora!" She finally grabs my attention and I snap back to reality.
"Oh, yeah. I am so excited!" I say smiling.

We set off in the car singing songs from the Disney charts. We know all the words to each song but forget the titles.

When the drive is done we both get out the car skipping to the shopping center. We enter all our favorite shops. Then we stop at one..

"Oh! I like that one!" She points at a little white dress that fits around your legs. "Oh and a black one for you!" She said pointing at the black one next to it. Mine has straps at the back showing skin but hers doesn't. She picked her white one up and frowns.
"No, maybe a puffy white dress, yes!" Her eyes dart to one across the room. I pick the one she told me to have up. It seems nice. I just don't feel confident in it.
"Go try it on!" She shouts not taking her eyes off of the dress.

I walk into the changing rooms and slip into the dress. I look at myself back in the mirror. I step out to show Ivy, who waits on the chairs now. I wrap my arms around my stomach and show her.
"Move your arms away!" She says. I do as I am told. ," oh. My. God. You look beautiful in it. Isaac will love it!"
I roll my eyes and go back into the changing rooms. As I come out I see Ivy twirling in her white dress. It's a short one but it doesn't fit around you like mine does, it pops out a big. At the top it has see through gentle sleeves.
"You look amazing!" I say. She nods smiling and she walks back in to change.

I go pay for mine and it's only £22. Ivy comes out and pays. We smile at each other and walk out the shops.

We enter Starbucks on the way home, and take a seat near the window.
"I am so excited to be with Levi! He is so nice and handsome and just ahhh...." She smiled looking out the window. I felt happy for her.

We sipped on our beverages and talked about our plans for the night.
"So, it is tomorrow, perfect!" She says.
"Wait what! On a Monday? School!" I ask.
"No, didn't you hear? It's a day off tomorrow!" She laughs that I didn't know.

I get in and look at my black dress.
It's okay, I can do that. Yeah. Nothing to worry about.
I hesitate to let my nails touch my arms.
I keep myself under control and didn't touch my arm.

I plan out what my hair would be like, and what my make up would be like. There was so much to worry about.

The nerves built up but so did my excitement.

I am going on a double date with Isaac...
