and many heated conversations
for my soul to win the fight.
The engagement
may have been off
but we continued on.
You had a way of
making me believe
this was the right choice.
After all,
you were my entire
frame of reference.
I unknowingly built
my young adult life
with you in mind.
My whole world
had suddenly become
you.
