I don't care if you end up together
You deserve each other
I can swallow it whole
follow it down into the pit of my stomach
where it will not let me rest
Besides,
I can find someone who will never leave
someone who respects me
I can get on without you
pretend you don't exist
2 days ago I saw you and
I looked right through you
I can learn how to perfect this skill
the art of forgetting
the art of letting go
as your arm wraps around her waist
I know you try to find
pieces of me buried in her
We are nothing alike
Good luck with that
You can rest easy knowing
I am completely fine alone
-lies I'm making myself believe
