how easily we mistake
soul friends for soul mates?
I saw
each and every one of your problems
laid out neatly in front of me
I saw them
and I turned the other way
but ignoring only got me so far
Until you forced me to face them
forced me to see you
and told me you wouldn't change
I have to admit
sometimes I still wish you'd change
but even then I'd never take you back
