I didn't know if I was crazy or not. Maybe I was the only one seeing him.

"Pia, do you see him as well?"

"No." My mouth dropped open. "I only see a giant d*ck."

"Glad to know what you think of me," Hadrian said. "Why did you think holy water would stop me?"

"You're the closest thing I know to a demon," Pia told him. "And I've protected Rhea by putting statues to ward you out."

"If you didn't put those statues I wouldn't have been able to enter her room. The witch would have stopped me. But now you have, well, I might have a sleepover."

"Over my dead body!" Pia went back into my dorm to get them out.

"That can be arranged," Hadrian called out to her.

"Yeah, then Ryan will kill you," she replied.

I couldn't stop staring at him. He should be dead, not here in front of me acting as if he hadn't been under the ground for 2 years. Hadrian noticed me looking at him and he gave me a soft smile.

"Rhea, I can promise you I'm not some strange apparition from your mind. Although, I wouldn't mind if you were thinking of me."

"How are you here?" I said trying to work it out.

"I walked up the stairs then..."

"Seriously."

Hadrian sighed. "I'm back. I'll explain later but for now that's all."

"You're dead."

"No. I'm alive," he argued back.

"Are you a ghost then?"

"Do I look like one?"

"I don't know, you're the ghost here."

Grabbing my hand, he placed it on his chest. "See? I'm real."

"Why doesn't your heart beat?" I asked, trying to control my emotions.

Hadrian paused for a second. "I don't need one anymore as I can't exactly die."

"Oh." How do you react when a guy who should be dead comes back to life out of the blue? I had so many questions going through my head and somehow he knew.

"I'll answer anything you want later but right now, I want to just chill." He released me then pushed his suitcase into his room. My phone began to vibrate in my pocket.

Kane: ive arrived & unpackd so ill head up 2 ur place tomorrow b4 schl starts officially xxx

"Who's that?" Hadrian asked startling me.

"Kane."

"Kane who?"

"Kane, my boyfriend."

I expected anger or annoyed but he just raised his eyebrows. "Wow. He better be good to you. I need to unpack so I'll talk you later."

Hadrian locked his door. I would have believed he didn't care until I heard something smash and the cursing that followed.

"Pia, you told me he was dead!"

We were hanging out in the coffee shop where I worked on Saturdays. Luckily, the semester didn't start until later on so I had a few hours before school started up again. My friend shrugged her shoulders

"But I, at the time, also assumed he was dead."

"So when you found out you didn't think of telling me?" I was getting more and more frustrated, not at all understanding what was happening.

"I needed to protect you from him."

"Why?!" I asked gritting my teeth.

"Because he's bad news and as much as you try and pretend, both of you have unfinished business with each other that should have been buried with him."

"I'm not going to break up with Kane and fly off into the sunset with Hadrian if that's what you think."

Pia lifted an eyebrow. "It's not what I think, it's what I know."

We stared at each other, trying to figure out how the other person felt. All I got from her was annoyance and pity. I assumed My own showed confusion laced with anger.

"I'm not a hoe," I told her.

"I never said or will say that you are. However, you two ended on a bad note which I know both of you want to fix but I can't let you," she said softly, shaking her head.

"I won't fall for Hadrian though."

"But you will."

"I promise you that I won't."

She gave me a sceptical look. "You can't back out of a pinkie promise."

I nodded. "Yeah, I know." I linked my pinkie with hers. "I, Rhea Montero, promise not have any feelings towards Hadrian."

"I accept your promise," Pia replied smiling. I smiled back.

"So how's Ryan?" I asked casually. For the first time in a while, she broke out into a huge smile.

"He asked me on a date. Like a real one."

I also started to feel the same happiness she did. "Oh my god! And you didn't tell me, you b*tch."

She flipped her hair and gave me a model worthy smile. "I try."

The cafe wasn't full but there were quite a few people mingling around, mostly girls judging by the gasps and whispers behind me. Pia and I turned in our seats to see Hadrian himself entering the shop. I lowered my eyes, wanting to prove to Pia that I didn't care about him. I saw his shoes move towards the front of the cafe to order something before I fully faced her.

"So..." I started.

"He's attracting too much attention. Give him a few hours before the news finds out he's alive," Pia said distracted.

"Is it a bad thing?"

"I don't know but those girls think he's amazing."

I looked back at him to see that he was talking to a girl, who I sensed was human. She was giggling at what he said while he handed her a drink.

"Don't you think they look cute together?" Pia said testing me.

"Yep. Very cute."

New York is just amazing.

*sighs*

But I'm back in my own bed and typing on my new phone (not an iPhone btw). So my WiFi was cut but an hour later returned. Yay!

So that's the latest up date. And because you've been waiting for so long, I will update TWICE for the next two days.

Welcome ^.^
