Hadrian's POV
Raven sat in the back of my car sucking her lollipop and swinging her legs. She was excited as I was letting her participate in my plan that had a 50 percent chance of working. Seth was going to meet me at the nightclub. And I knew allowing a 7 year old into a club was wrong and probably illegal but she understood what her role was.
"Raven, do you know what you're doing?" I saw her grin at me.
"You said I shouldn't tell Ma that you broke her antique vase," she recited.
I cringed. "Not that but well done for remembering. What will you do today?"
"I will make an illusion that I'm a big girl and then gasp when I see Seth and pretend to cry when you hit him. Seth said I should be supporting him."
"Seth is wrong. You like me the most right?"
"Yeah! You're my best brother. But if you give me another lolly, you'll be my bestest brother."
I threw a sweet in her direction. "Here."
Her grin changed into a smirk. "Thank you, Nico."
"Hadrian."
"Nico."
"Fine," I sighed. "Now, can you change?"
Her small body shifted into the older body of a girl my age or a bit younger. I was slightly creeped out at seeing my little sister past the stage of puberty and I knew when she was older I would be beating guys off her with a stick. Or I could just kill them. Her hair had grown till it was past her shoulders and curled at the end. Raven giggled and continued eating her lolly as if nothing had happened.
Raven and I clambered out of the car when we reached the club and I held her hand to stop her from running off. She may have looked like she was an adult but her mind was like a child. Cameras flashed and photos were taken of the mysterious girl Hadrian DiRomero was with. I leaned towards her ear to give her some warnings.
"No drinking. If you're thirsty ask me or Seth. No dancing. No talking to anyone you don't know."
Raven rolled her blue eyes. "Nico, I'm 7 now and mommy said that I should never talk to strangers."
"Mom's right." We walked inside, not answering any of the questions thrown at us. I sat her down in a corner and ordered water for her. The panicked look in people's eyes told me Seth was approaching. I walked back to Raven who was now gossiping to a drunk girl.
"Hey Nico! Me and my friend were talking about shots," she said brightly.
"Yeah. But she's a stranger," I reminded her.
"Oh yeah." She turned to the girl. "Sorry. We can't be friends anymore. I don't know you."
The drunk girl laughed then passed out. Raven looked confused but didn't question it while I tried to move her to a more public area. People were grinding and dancing incredibly close to each other as we got closer to the center. My sister scrunched her nose in disgust and held onto my arm.
"Nico, my friend told me you were sex on legs. What's sex?" she asked innocently.
I turned to her and gave her a serious look. "It's a bad monster that will eat you up and take off your wings." Her eyes widened with fear.
"You're going to take my wings?!"
"No. She was just being mean. It's a very rude word so never, ever repeat it."
She nodded. Luckily, that crisis was averted. I caught sight of Seth's blond hair bobbing within the crowd. Raven also saw him then began kissing my face. We were not doing any form of incest as her kisses were on my forehead and cheeks. She knew I hated when she did it because after a few minutes it would leave a red mark as if I had been attacked by leeches. Laughing, Raven patted my cheeks, proud of the art work she created. I slipped some earplugs into her ears so she wouldn't hear the swearing that was going to be said and gave her a tight smile.
"Hey! Why are you touching my girlfriend?" Seth yelled, acting.
People turned to see who was talking to and I saw some grabbing their phones in case something was to happen. Raven, despite not being able to hear, told our brother that she loved me and him.
"I'm sorry, Seth but Peppa and I are in love," I said using Raven's code name.
"F*ck no." He punched me hard enough I fell to the floor. I willed my body to slow my healing process till it was the same as a human's so no one would question why my cuts disappeared after a few seconds. Seth moved to kick me in the stomach, cracking a rib. I winced in pain but allowed him to continue. He leaned over me and grinned.
"Hadrian, give up. She loves me the most."
I swung my arm and hit him in the face. A crowd was surrounding us while Raven giggled or cried. I wasn't sure because she covered her face. Seth stumbled as I got up. I glared at him then tackled him to the ground.
"She's mine. I love her," I growled. The small smile my sister gave me told me she found this hilarious.
My brother pushed me off him then repeatedly hit me in the face. "I buy her anything she wants."
I caught his fist before he hit me again. "I love her though."
Raven interjected. "Hadrian, leave. I choose Seth. I love him the most."
Seth moved to her side and hugged her. He smirked then they went away. I remained on the floor panting and wincing in pain as I couldn't heal quickly. I was blinded by the flashing lights from cameras. I took this time to note my injuries. Two broken ribs, broken nose and jaw with a heck load of bruises. Avoiding the stares, I pinched my nose to hold it in place as I got up.
The crowd parted as I limped towards the exit. Hopefully, what happened would reach the news so Mala could leave Rhea alone but I noticed two things when I was outside. My car was missing and it was raining, drenching me after a minute.
F*ck.
