“Paisley, Simon would like to see you for a rehearsal now,” one of the stage managers informed as she walked in. I nodded and pulled out of Luke’s grasp. “I wanna comeee,” he whined. I giggled.
“Then come. You’re allowed, you know?”
He laughed. “Oh right! I forgot! Yay!”
Pulling my hand, he dragged us both out of the bus to the building across the street where we would be practicing until tour began. Just before we left, I caught Ashton's contemplative gaze as he stood up, but decided to ignore it. He occupied enough of my brain as it is.
“Paisley! I’m actually quite pleased you brought Luke along with you. Would you two mind running your duet real quickly?” I looked to Luke, who nodded.
Since we were “fake dating”, Simon wanted us to do a duet in order to support the act. It wasn’t much of an issue in my eyes considering I was literally in love with Luke’s voice. Luke didn’t seem to mind either, as he grinned and pulled me onto the stage. “Ready, Pais?” I smiled back as I nodded.
Luke began at the microphone stationed stage left while I stood at the one located stage right, smirking at me as he sang.
“Ooh girl you’re shining
Like a 5th avenue diamond
And they don’t make you like they used to
You’re never going out of style,”I picked up the next verse.
“Ooh pretty baby
This world might've gone crazy
The way you saved me.
Who could blame me
When I just wanna make you smile?”Together, we did the pre chorus, followed by the chorus. As we did so, we walked towards each other, grinning goofily.
“I wanna thrill you like Michael
I wanna kiss you like Prince
Let’s get it on like Marvin Gaye
Like Hathaway write a song for you like this
You’re over my head
I’m out of my mind
Thinking I was born in the wrong time
One of a kind, living in a world gone plastic
Baby you’re so classic
Baby you’re so classic
Baby you,
Baby you’re so classic,”We finished up the chorus, me carrying out the next verse.
“Four dozen of roses
Anything for you to notice
All the way to serenade you
Doing it Sinatra style,”Luke sang the next verse, his arms now around my waist, singing in my ear as I laughed softly.
“Ima pick you up in a Cadillac
Like a gentleman bringin' glamour back
Keep it real to real in the way I feel
I could walk you down the aisle
I wanna thrill you like Michael
I wanna kiss you like Prince
Let’s get it on like Marvin Gaye
Like Hathaway write a song for you like this,”We sang the chorus once more, him randomly spinning me around here and there, making us both laugh.
“You're over my head
I’m out of my mind
Thinking I was born in the wrong time
It's not a rewind, everything is so throwback-ish (I kinda like it like it)
Out of my league
Old school chic
Like a movie star
From the silver screen,”At this point, he twirled me into his chest, focusing on me intently as we wrapped up the song.
“One of a kind living in a world gone plastic
Baby you’re so classic
Baby you’re so classic
Baby you’re so classic,” we finished, our faces inches from each other, our breaths enhanced. In this moment right here, my head was completely empty. The only thing I was aware of were Luke’s entrancing blue eyes and my accelerated heartbeat.“Maybe we should take it from the top,” I spoke softly, seemingly catching my breath. He nodded, immediately backing away. I took a deep breath as I met Simons smirk. “You two having a good time up there?” he teased, laughing.
I was about to reply when I heard the auditorium doors slam as someone left in a hurry. “Who was that…?” Luke asked, though I think we both knew who it was.
Ashton.

Sorry I haven't updated in a while! I had a bit of writers block, as you can tell considering this part was poorly written, but now that this part is out of the way it'll be better! I promise! So Luke and Paisley had a little moment there...what do you think about that? We know Ashton didn't like it... leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
