chapter 7

I wake up with a pounding headache I hate having a hangover I look at the time 12:00. holy shit. I put on my sunglasses that I brought and walk down the stairs, once I reach the kitchen I start rummaging through cabinets looking for tylenol. God I can't find it I keep looking through cabinets when I hear loud footsteps and the whining of one of the stupid babies. Within minutes Caleb appears with 'our' baby "Will you shut that thing up" I snap rubbing my temples "my head hurts and I don't know how" he whines

"Oh my god give me that damn doll" I spat putting my hand out he hands me the baby and I start beating its head against the kitchen table  "Stop that" he shouts I groan and throw the baby at the stairs as Cameron walks down them, he ducks dodging it "Thank god it's you. Cameron do you know where the tylenol is?" I ask "Second cabinet next to the fridge, but why did you throw a baby at me?" Cameron asks. I walk over to the cabinet looking for tylenol "Well that dumbass over there couldn't shut it up" I gesture to Caleb "Yeah well at least I didn't start beating its head against a table" Caleb retorts  "You guys are awful parents" Carson says walking down the stairs "No I am a great parent and it wouldn't have happened if Caleb knew how to shut it up" I almost yell "God someone remind me not to mess with her while she is hung over" Charlie says but I didn't even know he came down the stairs.

CALEB'S POV

Later that night

"Carson, Reese we are going out" I call up the stairs. We had gang stuff to handle out at Jimmy's and we didn't trust Reese enough to let her tag along so her and Carson are going to hang out at Carson's moms place. I walk to my bike with my jacket in my hand an speed off to Jimmy's bar. When we get there I tuck my gun into my waistband and walk inside, we wait for jimmy at the bar and when he finally appears we tell him what we need "hello boys what can I do for you?" He asks

"We need to find out about this girl she is new and has befriended Carson we just want to make sure she isn't a threat.... Her name is Reese Montgomery"

He answers is without hesitation "Reese is a great girl but she comes here a lot so her info is confidential... But I will tell you this: she is a great fighter and has three older brothers"

"Thanks Jimmy" I say patting his shoulder once before walking into the crowd to watch the fighters. I see this girl beating the crap our of a guy he looks around my age. Then I see Carson in the crowd. I walk over to her

"Carson where is Reese you two were supposed to stay home"

"She went home to get some stuff. She said it would take a while so I just came to hang out here" she says not worried at all. I was about to say something when the bell rings "and the winner is Lexi" the announcer says into the microphone.

******REESE'S P.O.V******

I lied to carson and told her I had to go home and get some stuff. But I only lied to her because I heard there was a new fighter in town so I just wanted to see my competition then Jimmy convinced me to fight so I did.  "and the winner is Lexi" the announcer says lifting my hand and cheers erupt through the crowd. I smirk but you can't see it because of my mask. I walk out of the ring and to the bar where Jimmy is at. I skip off my mask but leave my hood on because I saw the guys in the crowd and I can't risk them seeing me "Good job kid" Jimmy says handing me my winnings "Oh and those boys over there were asking about you" he says pointing into the crowd. I turn my head and see Charlie, Cameron and Caleb looking at us "It's fine" I say sipping my water. I collect my bag and gun from him and walk to the changing room. I slip out of my boxing clothes and into red wash out shorts and a black v-neck and black vans. I tuck my gun into my waist band and walk to the exit. I get into my car and drive to Carson's house but when I get there  everyone is there. They must have left while I was changing "Hey guys" I greet as I walk in the house. I get a chorus of heys. After that I go up stairs with Carson and we turn in for the night and oddly I had Caleb on my mind.
