chapter 17

Friday morning........

I wake up to the sound of Caleb's alarm since Charlie I haven't been able to sleep alone at night. And I would talk to my brother's but they weren't as close to Charlie as the rest of us were so they don't really understand.

I reach over Caleb and turn off his alarm "wake up" I say in a froggy voice

He groans "is to early"

"I'm going to take a shower be up when I get out" I order walking to the bathroom. I shampoo and condition my hair and wash my body all over. I get out of the shower and put on my black bra and underwear. Once I leave the bathroom I walk to his closet where I have a small pile of clothes stacked up. I pull a long sleeved black and white stripe crop top and a high waisted blue skater skirt. I walk to his bed and plop onto it next to him and give him a light kiss kiss on the lips "if you don't get up now I'm leaving your sorry ass here" I say

"Fine" he says rolling out of bed

He pulls off his shirt and walks to his closet and pulls out a black shirt "quit watching me" he say with his back still to me

"I'm not I'm just making sure you're getting ready" I say holding my hands up in surrender​

"Yeah sure" he says in disbelief by now he is finished getting ready. He is wearing a black shirt with a green flannel and cache pants with black Nike air Huaraches "let's go" he says grabbing my hand and leading me or if his house to his bike. I wrap my arms around his waist and we speed off to school. We arrive in minutes we pay our says when I have Ave to go to my locker and he grew as to go to his. When I get to my locker there is Carson cleaning out can Charlie's locker and Ella standing next to her

"Hey girl" I greet

"Hey, what's up?" She asks

"Nothing but I'm still a little shaken I'm still always looking over my shoulder wondering when Michelle's gang is going to get revenge" I say

"I get like that too" she says

"Wow even from the grave she's freaking us out" Ella says

"It's okay guys" Cameron says walking up to us and wrapping his arms around Carson from behind and kissing her on the cheek

"Yeah we just have to be one step ahead of them and ready to strike whenever and wherever" Caleb says

And our conversation ends right on time because the bell rings signaling is to go to first period. Carson and I sit down to together and class starts but we don't pay attention we carry on a conversation talking about what outer next move will be until we are interupted

"Miss Montgomery, miss rivers I have been flexible seeing your situation but there is no reason to talk while I'm talking" our teacher says

"It's important" Carson says

"I am your teacher those are my rules you will follow them or you can leave" he says pointing to the door

I pack up my books "bye" I say before leaving but Carson doesn't follow me I walk into the parking lot just trying to kill time but my time is interrupted by two men triple my size walk up to me and I know it can't be good but I'm not gonna give them the satisfaction of knowing

" How can I help you" I ask

The one on the left pulls out a gun "you can come with us"

I stand up acting like I'm going "I don't think so" I say throwing a punch to the left and round house kicking the one on the right in the Head. But unfortunately my pouch doesn't fact faze the one on the left, he brings his foot and jabs it to the back of my knee cap breaking my leg. I do in a breath before receiving a blow to my head and then the lights go out and I'm unconscious.
