Hunter's POV

I look back at May, as she struggles to keep her legs moving across the pavement. Her brown hair creates a curtain, hiding her bloodied and tired face.

I lean back and whisper in her ear, "We're almost there", to which she smiles weakly, and brushes her hair behind her ear. I notice the cut on her cheek, deep and painful. How did she get that? I keep walking, this time next to her, telling her about our "camp" simply to keep her awake.

"It's not really a camp, more like an apartment that we found that we felt safe in" I explain. She nods her head weakly and we continue walking.

After a solid half hour I smile inwardly as we approach the building; our temporary home.

Holden runs up and opens the door, holding it for all of us, as we file in.
I place mine and May's bags on the floor and Zoe and Alfie do the same with theirs. They walk over and plop down on the couch in utter exhaustion. At this point, all of us could use a good rest.

"You and Garrett could stay in my room if you want" I offer May, to which she nods slowly and follows me to my room. I open the door and she walks in, and places Garrett on the bed.

She sits down on the bean bag chair opposite the bed and I sit down next to her. I can tell she tenses when I do this, but she soon relaxes.

"Thank you" she says, her eyes beginning to close, her breathing slowing to a more relaxed rate. Instinctively, I wrap my arm around her, and her head gently falls to my shoulder.

I look at Garrett, who has slept through this whole ordeal, and I feel pity for him in a way. What a world go have to grow up in. Then again, were all growing up in this crazy world now, aren't we? My thoughts fade as my eyes shut, a feeling that can only be described as well-needed.

Sean's POV

I sit down next to Zoe and Alfie on the couch and stare at my hands.

"Look" I whisper to them
"I know it's great and all, that we found them, but Poppy is still missing." The words burn on my tongue, as if it hurt me to say Poppy is missing.

"Believe me, we're going to find her" Alfie says looking at me. "As soon as we rest, we'll head out as soon as possible. But for right now, what we all need is rest. We surely can't move like this" Alfie says, pointing out the fact that Zoe was sound asleep on his shoulder. He picks her up and carries her off to another room, leaving me in my thoughts.

Poppy...my beautiful girlfriend is missing...and I couldn't save her...

"Sean" Louise snaps me out of my thoughts as I notice I have began pacing. "You alright?" She asks, putting her hand on my shoulder.

Am I alright? No. Plain and simple. No.

"I'm just worried about Poppy" I say truthfully.

"Zoe told me. We will find her Sean, I can promise you that" she says, her motherly instinct showing through.

"I hope you're right" I say, sitting back down on the couch, feeling restless and anxious. Alfie walks back in the room, followed by Holden and Rosalie.

"We put Darcy and Alice in with Garrett" Rosalie informs us, mainly Louise. "And May and Hunter are long knocked out" she says with a laugh.

She sits down across from me and Alfie sits down on the other side of me. Jim and Tanya follow after, each sitting in identical arm chairs. Joe and Caspar stand against the wall , barely awake and muttering some gibberish to each other.

"So what's our plan?" Holden breaks the awkward silence between us all.

"We need to find Poppy, and from there, we need to find a permeant camp. And supplies. We're not gonna kill anyone with kitchen knives." Alfie says, chuckling at the last part.

"Well we know where we can get supplies and we were planning on finding a more secluded camp sometime soon, you and your group are welcome to join us." Holden says, looking between all of us. "Also, there is a possibility we know who took your sister" Rosalie pipes up, causing me to snap my head up and look directly at her. She knows where Poppy is?

"Well then who took her? And why?" I say, anxiety building in my stomach.

"Before we found you lot, we were part of a larger group" Jim says. "There were about fifty, maybe even a hundred of us" Tanya adds. "We left them because we were being treated like shit. They didn't give us nearly enough food and we were the ones constantly put on watch. We left one night, and they chased us, but we made it out. From there, we think they've been following us, but we don't exactly know why." Jim says all of this, while looking around at all of us, showing the seriousness of the situation.

"We found Hunter and Alice after we left." Louise adds. "At the 'campsite' Darcy was put through the exact same work as all of us. That's what set me over the edge, immediately." Louise says, staring me in the eyes, her words cutting through the air like knives.

"They treated us like prisoners" Jim says "So we left. And I think they took Poppy because someone knew she was important to us. And to you all" Jim states.

"So let me get this straight" Caspar says, walking over to us, arms crossed.

"They're using Poppy as bait, to lure us all back to their goddamn camp? So they can treat us like shit?" Caspar whispers, afraid his language might travel to the minors in the room next door.

Tanya nods her head slowly, and looks up at Jim. "We have to save her. Even if that means we go back to the camp" Jim whispers, causing Louise to shudder.
My head spins with thoughts of what actually happened in the camp. Questions wash through my mind in waves, emotions flying.

"What if we're caught?" Joe asks.

"We can't be caught. We just can't" Holden replies, staring at Joe. Something really horrible must have happened.
