"So, how's all your work going?" Jackson asked as he poked Jinyoung's arm repeatedly."Stressful," he sighed. "You know how my advanced classes can get."
That's one thing Jackson did get right about Jinyoung; the first impression. The boy was in fact a nerd. He skipped a grade, which made him a fellow senior, and made it into all advanced courses.
The seventeen year old was constantly being swamped with work. Now that he had a friend, Jinyoung was trying to balance all of his projects and schoolwork and still have time to hang out with Jackson. It put a tiny bit more stress atop his shoulders but it was all worth it to have someone to laugh with and just talk to.
"Oh shit! I forgot to do my algebra homework!" Jackson exclaimed, giving himself a slap on the cheek for being so forgetful.
"Watch your language child," Jinyoung scolded his friend who is in fact older than him.
"Sorry mom," Jackson laughed.
Jackson was struggling to search through the depths of his book bag for the damned algebra worksheet. This, yet again reminded him that he needed to clean the mess that accumulated over time.
Once the worksheet was found, Jackson lied down on his stomach next to his friend and started working.
The silence between the two as they worked was comfortable. There was the occasional yawn and tapping of a pencil but nothing more. Jackson enjoyed the study and work sessions himself and Jinyoung shared. He did miss tutoring BamBam but this was definitely more relaxing.
"Hmm," Jinyoung hummed. "That's wrong." He pointed to the number of the problem he was talking about with his pencil.
"Are you sure?" Jackson questioned. He was pretty sure he knew how to solve a math problem since he is in fact a tutor.
"Yeah, it should be 67."
"I think you're wrong Jinyoung.."
"Who's in advanced math?" He teased with a closed eye smile.
Jackson liked the way Jinyoung's eyes would crinkle up when he smiled or laughed. He found it cute.
"You are..." Jackson mumbled quietly.
"That's right, now change the answer so we can get this finished and play video games!" Jinyoung whined in an almost childish way.
Jackson quickly wrote down the answer and continued working, wanting to get done as fast as possible. He wants to beat Jinyoung at Call of Duty this time around. The younger boy was always killing him, just like Jackson had done to BamBam. Oh, how the tables have turned.
After a few more minutes both boys finished their boring assignments and moved on to killing each other virtually.
"What the fuck Jinyoung!? Stop cheating!" Jackson yelled at the top of his lungs. He would be getting complaints from his neighbors later.
No reply was heard from the younger, only gunshots being fired from his character.
"Arrghh!! Seriously, can you fucking not?!"
"Watch your potty mouth." Jinyoung smacked Jackson on the back his head as punishment.
The sound of Jackson's complaining and grunting, along with gunshots could be heard from within the small bedroom the rest of the night. Jackson's parents were ready to put ear plugs in their ears and maybe even evict their own son if needed, while said boy was having one of the best nights he's had in a long time.
