Monday, the start of a new week. Some students were groaning since they had to get up early in the morning to listen to teachers lecture them for hours, while others were just excited to see their friends.BamBam was in a group all by himself. He was anxious yet again. This seemed to be a reoccurring emotion in his everyday life. Since this was the week he was holding himself to the challenge of confessing to Mark. He was going to keep his word even if he died from embarrassment or even worse... Heartbreak.
Most of his homeroom he was completely zoned out, not even paying attention to the morning announcements. Not that they were really that interesting or important anyway.
When the bell would ring, BamBam would cross his fingers in hopes that he wouldn't run into Mark. He was keeping his word, just not today, definitely not today. Unfortunately, luck, as usual, was never on his side. He saw Mark three times. Every time was the same, they would make eye contact and BamBam would look away with the fluttering feeling of butterflies in his stomach. BamBam was as nervous as can be while Mark was smirking in victory. He knew he was on his way to getting exactly what he wanted.
The fifth and final period before lunch caused the one thing that BamBam prayed wouldn't happen. He walked straight into Mark. This would teach him the valuable lesson of keeping your head up while walking in the hallway.
"Sorry..." BamBam slowly looked up to apologize. "I wasn't paying attention to where I was- Mark?" His eyes widened in surprise, not realizing who he actually bumped into.
Mark looked down at BamBam not expecting to be in this situation either. Although he was grateful that walking into the younger this time didn't involve any milk.
"Hey Bam," Mark smiled showing his almost too perfectly white teeth. "Watch where you're going. We don't need another lunch incident." Before walking off, he playfully ruffled BamBam's spiky hair making it slightly more messy.
BamBam let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding while starting to walk to his next class. He wasn't exactly sure why he thought bumping into Mark would have been such a bad thing when nothing actually happened.
'I really need to stop over thinking things.'
BamBam walked into his next class setting his pencils and books down on his desk before sitting his chair. He shook his head trying to rid his mind of any lingering thoughts. Then he brought his hand up to slowly touch his hair and remembered how Mark had ruffled his hair. This caused him to forget about everything surrounding him and just focus on the feeling he had when Mark touched him. He was smiling to himself not noticing the strange looks he was getting from his classmates.
"Hey, are you okay? You're starting to creep me out a little?" A stranger's voice pulled BamBam out of his daydreams.
"Oh! U-Uh yeah I'm fine." BamBam quickly replied being a little flustered.
The lanky boy nodded in response before sitting down next to BamBam. Once he sat down, BamBam remembered how he sometimes got paired up with this boy for classwork but he never got to learn his name. He figured he would ask another time, going back into the land of Mark Tuan. The rest of class was spent zoning out and doodling on his notebook.
"He freaking kissed my forehead Jackson!! Kissed it!" BamBam was having a spaz attack during lunch while Jackson just wanted to end himself by choking on a pickle.
