Ben's Prov:
To say today has been a bad day would be an understatement. The thing is you think you have everything under control, when you really don't. There is always going to be something or someone who is going to be around and mess everything up for you. For so long I have tried to hide things, because I thought that was what I had to do. But now I am realizing it would have been smarter to just be honest about who I was.
Because now things are more fucked up then I could even imagine. The only thing I truly had in my life right now was Danielle. And from where I am standing it doesn't look like I am going to have her for much longer if I don't fight for her. But then again maybe I wasn't what who was best for Danielle. Especially since I haven't been a hundred percent honest with her. If her and I were ever going to evolve into something more then I had to be host with her about everything. Including Jessie, she deserved that much.
As I drove into Danielle's family home I could feel my heart race with anticipation. I knew today was going to be the day I told Danielle everything. After we spent time at here and we went home to her house, then I was going to tell her everything I had been hiding. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but it definitely had to be done.
I parked my truck, took a deep breath, and grabbed my bag from the back seat. I just needed to get threw all of this, and then be home with Danielle. That way I could get everything out in the open and not deal with this much guilt anymore. I walked up to Danielle's families home trying to calm my nerves so I didn't look nervous when everyone saw me. I quickly knocked on the door and waited for someone to answer. After only a few seconds her grandmother opened the door and smiled at me.
"Ben how are you doing?" She asked me as she opened the door wider so I could walk in. I smiled at her and walked into the house.
"I am doing okay. Could be better, how about yourself?" I asked her as I watched her close the door.
"Oh I am doing just fine. Busy trying to get the families Christmas party going." She explained to me as she walked back over to where I was.
"Already getting going with that? Christmas is still like a month away." I said to her with a laugh. She smiled at my words.
"Yes well you know me, I like to be ready before hand. I mean this is our first Christmas with Danielle, I want to make this Christmas an amazing one. Which is why I have so many people coming. I hope that I can put you and your family on the list." She said to me. I nodded my head at her words.
"Yes of course you can. My mom has been wanting to get together for a long time now, so this will be an amazing time to." I said to her, she smiled even more brightly at my words.
"Oh wonderful." She said as she clapped her hands together. "This is going to be an amazing party. Please leave my your families number an address so I can contact them about the party." She started to walk away excitedly when she turned to look at me. "Everyone should be in the pool area still." She said to me before she turned back around started to walk into the kitchen. No doubt doing more work on her party.
Danielle reminded me of her so much. They were both always so excited about the littlest things. Which is how I wish I still was. I made my way into the pool area, and when I got there I saw only Luke, Greg, and Dan in there. I looked around trying to see if the girls were anywhere to be found. But they didn't seem to be anywhere. I turned back at the boys and shock my head. They had a good amount of beers around them, and they were all just sitting by the pool. This didn't seem like a good situation which made me extremely nervous. Something bad had to have gone down. When I entered the room they all turned to look at me.
"Where are the girls?" I asked as I entered the room. Everyone tensed at my words, causing me to worry. Something really bad hah to have happened.
"They left." Was all Luke said, he then took a huge swig of his beer. By how gruff his voice was I could tell that he had a few more drinks then he should have. He sounded passed, and like he was in a I don't give a puck attitude. Which wasn't like Luke at all.
