Part 18: I miss you

Harleys P.O.V

I wake up and stand up my whole body in pain, I head to the bathroom and look in the mirror my eyes are puffy and my face is stained with tears. I wash my face and get dressed I walk into the living room grab my keys and leave. I walk out into the bright Gotham day and head to my favorite breakfast place. I walk in and order a breakfast sandwich. My hands shake as I hand the money to the cashier. I go and sit down I run my hands through my hair I wince in pain as I feel a bump starting to form on the back of my head, "Harley?" I look up at the person who said my name and I couldn't believe my eyes "R-Red" I stutter "you look good Red how are ya?" "um I'm okay how are you" I look down and mutter "I um I'm fine you know" "oh that great Harl" hold on I'm going to order be back in a sec" I nod and watch her go order. She comes back within minutes and sits down across from me I look up at her green eyes and sigh "so Red any uh new person" my heart aches as I ask her this she shakes her head and says "there was but um it didn't work out" I feel butterflies in my stomach and I say "oh I'm so sorry Red" "ah don't be" she responds "so what about you do you have a new person"? I gulp and say "um yah yah his names Troy and he's super great" "oh"she says looking down. We walk out of the restaurant together and I take my sweater off forgetting about the bruises underneath "Harl what the hell happened?" Red questions grabbing my wrist lightly and examining my bruises I pull away from her and say "nothing its nothing" "that's not nothing Harl did he hurt you"? She says I start to tear up as I run away from her not looking back.

By the time I make it back to Troys place he is awake "h-hi baby your up" I say in a hushed tone "were the hell did you go?" he says menacingly "I um went to get breakfast" I respond he frowns and punches me hard in the face I fall back words and start to cry.

Later that night

"Change" Troy says throwing me my dress from last night, "were going out" I nod and change into my dress. He grabs my wrist and drags me out of the apartment "were are we going Troy"? I question "wherever I want" he mutters. We walk into the night hand in hand or more specifically him grabbing my hand as hard as he can, we m walk into the darker part of Gotham and I say "Troy you are hurting my hand" "what was that dear" he says in a kind voice "um your hurting me "oh I'm sorry dear" he says I smile as he lets go of my hand then out of no where he shoves me hard, I fall to the ground and he says "I know you saw Ivy today" I look at him in fear and say "I just saw her for bit dear it doesn't mean anything" "like hell it doesn't mean anything" he says he then kicks me hard in the stomach, I yell out in pain when all of a sudden a dark figure comes swooping in "is their a problem here" I realize that the dark figure is in fact Batman "no no problem sir" Troy says in an innocent tone "just a lovers dispute" Batman then turns to me and helps me up "are you okay miss?" he questions I nod my head and say "yah yah" he nods and looks at Troy "take care of this one" Troy nods and takes my hand gently. After Batman leaves Troy whispers "ill deal with you when we get home.

No Ones P.O.V

Batman jumps on one of the nearest buildings coming face to face with his girlfriend Selina Kyle or more commonly known as Catwoman. "Harleys in trouble" he mutters to Selina"what do you mean what happened?" She questions "I think there's something going on with her boyfriend, I just caught him beating her" he responds, " fuck I'm gonna kill that bastard" Selina snarls he pulls her closer. "I think you should talk to Pamela, since she can usually talk Harley out of problems like this" Selina sighs and says "yah you right ill talk to her" as they walk away she says "hey can we get ice cream on the way to your place" he chuckles and say "sure thing Cat" then they disappear into the night.
