I ran up to the big cherry blossom tree just yards away from me. I heard Mothers loud giggle as she popped her head into my view from the side of the tree. Her face looked so happy and cheery, nothing made me happier then that. I never wanted her cheery attitude to fade, but sadly it didn't turn out that way.
I spread my arms wide and I let mother pick me up and twirl me in her embrace. After the giggles stopped I heard mother coo, "Happy birthday my beautiful baby girl."
"Thank you okaasan(mother)!" I exclaimed. "This is so fun!"
Mother suddenly set me on my feet and kneeled down to my level. At that very moment a large gust of wind blew, making cherry blossom petals blow gracefully to the ground and leaving me in awe.
Mother pointed up at the tree, smiling, "Do you know why we named you, Sakura?"
I shook my head and looked over at my mother who then looked into my eyes as well. I suddenly felt her arms around me and she purred, "Because you were born when the sakura's were in bloom, the prettiest flower of all."
I gasped in awe as mother let me out of her embrace. Out of know where mother and I suddenly heard someone calling our name from a distance, and when we looked behind us we saw Kaname and father heading our way.
"There you two are!" Mother exclaimed, standing up and walking towards father and Kaname.
"Sorry we were late," father heaved, "getting the cake took longer than expected."
At that moment I noticed father holding a box, big enough to fit a cake inside. I giggled and rushed up to look at it. I wasn't tall enough to see, but I was suddenly lifted onto someones shoulders and saw the delicious looking chocolate cake.
"Thanks oniichan!" I exclaimed happily.
Father and mother walked side to side to a picnic table underneath the cherry blossom tree. They set the chocolate cake down and got out a candle, lighting it with a lighter.
"Before we sing I have something I want to tell you Sakura," mother cooed, "you're going to have a little sister."
A wide smile crossed my face. I would have a little sister, just like I've always wanted!
They sang happy birthday and we all digged in.

I open my eyes standing in pitch black darkness. I try to walk, but my legs won't budge. It's not as if I am paralyzed, it is like my feet are glued to the floor. I look down and see nothing below me. I am standing on air.
I can't hear a single sound, beside my own thoughts. I feel confused, lost, and I'm currently trying to recollect my thoughts before I awoke in this strange place. For the longest time my mind has been blank, but I am now starting to remember things. The first thing I remember is Mikou, and how he is Kagura's older brother. To be honest I have no idea why Mikou didn't tell me. Did he think I would hate him? We're best friends! I would never!
In a heartbeat the silence turned into the sound of burning wood. I look down at myself and I'm not in my Night Class uniform anymore, I'm in a long laced dress.
