Chapter Seven: Forgiveness

My head feels like it's been banged against the wall a thousand times. I groan and hear many voices around me. I open my eyes, the light blinding me for a second.

"Lady Sakura," I hear a voice sounding like Mikou say. "Are you awake?"

"I... guess I am." I strain to say.

"Little miss prissy pants over here though you died." Claude snickered, looking at Mine.

"Ok, 1) I did not think that and 2) I'm wearing a skirt!" Mine exclaims. I let out a small giggle.

Sharp pain enters my body as I try to sit up. It feels like a thousand needles in my chest causing excruciating pain when I move. The Night Class looks worried for a second and help me up.

"Thank you." I say smiling. No one else smiles. "Oh come on can't I see at least one of you smile? I'm fine, really." I see them all make a sly smile. Except for Mika, the shy one.

I hear the door click and someone walk in. It's Zero, and all of the sudden the emotion in the room changes.

"Well, well, well look who it is. The boy who almost killed Lady Sakura." Mine hisses. Zero looks at the floor, kinda ashamed.

"What are you doing here?" Claude asks, joining the argument.

"I came here to visit." Zero says blankly, his confidence returning.

"Zer--" I'm cut off. I guess they can't really hear my voice for how low it is right now.

"Oh really? You didn't come here to finish the job?" Mine says putting her hands on her hips.

"Why would I do that?" Zero hisses back. "Sakura's my friend."

"And who was the one who wanted to kill all Purebloods?" Naomi says. Naomi is actually arguing?!

Zero is taken aback by her remark clearly.

"Times have changed." He finally says.

"Oh really? The event yesterday really does say 'times have changed'." Mine let's water erupt around her. The tips of her hair turn blue. "I'll show you how times have changed!"

"Guys..." I say, no one hears me. They continue to argue. All because of a little incident. I can't tell them what really happened, Kagura is in the room making herself feel comfortable. As everyone argues she looks at me and grins, I glare back.

"Guys!" I exclaim louder. "Just stop!" I finally yell. The window next to my bed shatters, drawing everyone's attention to me.

Mainly because I begin coughing up blood again, a lot of it too.

"Just stop arguing please..." I sniffle once I've stopped coughing. "Zero is my friend and that's that. Just stop..." I ball into tears, I can't control it. I feel like, I'm the one separating everyone.

"Ok Lady Sakura. We'll stop." Mikou says frowning a little.

"Can I be alone with Zero for a bit?" I say. "Please?"

"Of course. Come on guys." Mikou motions for the Night Class to follow him. Once it's just Zero in the room with me, I begin to talk.

"Hey Zero, how are things?"

Mikou's POV

Mine just won't stop huffing and puffing. I'm afraid she would make a tsunami if I'd let her.

"Mine just calm down." I say softly.

Mine looks at me. "I can't! I just don't get how Sakura can forgive that... boy for hurting her like that!" She exclaims.

"Sakura is just a very forgiving person, you have to understand that." I say.

"She is different from a lot of other Purebloods..." Naomi says. "She's not reserved and secretive, she open and kind. I think that's why I like it so much here."

"So your saying you feel comfortable around her?" Claude asks his sister.

"You can say it like that. I feel like I'm really her friend. Not just some student she has to keep watch over." Claude pulls Naomi in close for a hug. Sibling love.

Too bad that's not how it turned out with me and my younger sister. Sakura kinda saved me from my past life, a life which I wish I could forget. Kagura and I lock eyes, I quickly look away.

"Yeah I enjoy it here too." I say smiling.

"But is she really so forgiving to forgive someone who almost killed her?" Mika says softly. "Like fully?"

Everyone looks wide eyed at her. Mika rarely talks because she's so reserved. She spends most of her time out of class tending to the flowers in her dorm.

"I'm sure she is. She said he's her friend." I say.

"But she was upset wasn't she?" Kagura says smiling. "After all she broke a window."

"What are you trying to say Kagura?" I ask sternly.

She snickers at me. "All I'm saying is that a Pureblood can sometimes be dangerous when they are upset, especially when the ones they love get hurt."

I get what she's saying. Sakura was upset because we were arguing with Kiryu. She must've felt like it was her fault, that we were split apart because of what happened to her.

All of the sudden the doors barge open and I can't believe who it is.

Sakura's POV (at the same time)

Zero doesn't say a word. Which makes me frown.

"Oh come on Zero, don't regret something you didn't have any control over."

He turns wide eyed. "But I should've." He says looking down.

"She, wants me to not forgive you, to ruin our friendship. But I won't give in to her actions." I look at Zero sternly. "I promise."

"Aren't you in pain?" Zero asks concerned.

"Eh, not as much as it would if it was fatal." I wink.

I can tell that Zero is not amused. He believes he hurt me drastically, which is not the case. But why would he be so concerned for me?

"Listen Zero, if you hurt me so badly how am I still alive?" I ask. "Purebloods don't die easily."

Before Zero could respond the door barged open in a flash. I can't believe who is really before my eyes.

It's my beloved brother, Kaname, and sister, Yuuki.

I promised two right after the other didn't I? I'm so glad I type fast otherwise these chapters would take forever. 😆

So yeah, what good would Vampire Knight be without Yuuki (and Kaname... 😐) in it? I can't just abandon them. Yuuki and Kaname will also play a big part I pinkie swear! :)
