Our hands were tightly enclosed in the others, deep hoods hid our faces while we walked with bag packs secured on our backs.
"As soon as we get to the forest, you have to be extremely quiet as I told you.
We probably won't get through it all at once."
The foliage crackled underneath our feet as we carefully walked in between trees and their long branches, me never letting go of his hand as I felt a slight fear creeping up on me.
"Fear is the only thing to fear, don't forget that."
"Can you read my thoughts?"
A small chuckle, a glance from the side with a smile etching at his lips; all of the small things that I adored more than anything from my previous life, they were all thrown at me at once as he watched me.
"Your hand is trembling, that's it."
