It all was a long story that would take hours to thoroughly be explained; a story which was simply put into one word that haunted the dreams of every child of this planet, making their parents worry even more in the misery that they were put into.
The nuclear annihilation.
Every five years it was another district that had to be eliminated, every five years it was another few ten thousand lives that perished together with the only thing the people had left; their memories, their hope and their loved ones.
It was so many minutes until all lives here would perish. My family-gone, my school-gone, everything I worked for so hard-gone, even I myself would be simply gone within a mere second.
I never liked to think of it in days, it seemed too short in my eyes. The amount of hours didn't satisfy me, the term and duration of a second was too unrealistic to comprehend the time that I left.
I had only minutes left.
It was all I could ever think about until I met Byun Baekhyun, the timid guy working at the shop downtown. With him, I shared the remnant of my memories, hoping to maybe make new ones to have them all eventually missing.
But unlike me, he wasn't a pessimist.
