A loud sound of a bullet being shot struck the silence and the mere sound of the crackling of the leaves. Baekhyun immediately ducked down, pressing my entire body closer to his behind an arch.
"Are you sure we are save here? People won't let us get over the boarder that easily."
"It's not prohibited to explore to boarder, passing it is another challenge."
I was trembling in fear even though nothing followed the previous sound that had drenched me in sweat out of complete panic.
"This is only the beginning, I told you."
But if it was the beginning of danger, it was also the beginning of our new lives in another district. Attaining your dream also meant overcoming obstacles like these, together with the person you loved.
Looking at the flowers he was still carrying for me, made me realize anew every time I doubted him.
